The first time I saw the movie, 1:50 was one part (of many) of the soundtrack that made my jaw hit the floor and gave me goosebumps. It was very disappointing to get the soundtrack album and find out that this take did not make the cut. FINALLY, years later they released the complete score, and there it was in all it's motivational beauty.

It's my favorite part too! Is this video the complete score?

@@nukbincanfly7560 Yes! It wasn't on the original soundtrack album, but I believe Intrada or Varese Sarabande re-released it within the last decade with the complete score (which included this track, finally!)

Oh man, it was two minutes and forty five seconds into 17 The Ghost and The Darkness Ost Lions Attack (linked below) for me. That moment onwards has lived in my memory since the 90s. (kzbin.info/www/bejne/rKqtZKGVn76CrJI)

Reminds me of Pitch Black from the Riddick movies
@Deutschritter.4 жыл бұрын
the film here is older than pitchblack, how can it remind you of a later film? if then it should mean the other way around, pitchblack reminds you of the music of the spirit and the darkness the film here is based on a historical event in british east africa and not a fictional fairy tale like pitch black
@DraconaSpark4 жыл бұрын
@@Deutschritter. Because time is an illusion and I watched this movie after watching pitch black, therefore I'm relating it to my own personal experiences and what movies I've seen previously that it reminds me of, instead of some comprehensive historical timeline of musical and movie theory that really doesn't affect my life or personal perceptions. Also I was referring specifically to the tune and tone of the music, not the content or plot of the movie itself, and am perfectly aware of the reality of colonial history in Africa, having taken two intensive courses on South African history and spending a third of last summer with my university in South Africa discussing Apartheid and the colonial expansion. In other words, it's just the vibes bro, chill

@@Deutschritter. No worries, I appreciate the history lesson but I was already aware of the age of the movies

I have constant migraines. With that comes medication that gives me tinnitus (mainly cicadas and it's loud). Sounds morbid, but I either listen to the movie even though I know it inside out, or I listen to the music and replay the movie in my head.
