When a player can make a highlight reel film of his plays every season that would be enough for a career for most elite NHL players, you know you have a gem. When Pettersson retires, the arena will need sleeping bags and camping sites to sit through his career highlights. His video will start 3 days before the ceremony.

LOL I remember this game, being a Red Wings fan I never heard nothing about this kid until that day and I said to myself after he scored that "this kid is going to be a really good player in this league" along with Red Wings commentators Mickey Redmond and Ken Daniels!.. it was such an old school style of shot goal too that you don't really see that much in today's NHL, which is how you know his shot is wicked!😛.. and the funny thing is it look like he didn't even shoot it as hard as he could have... but I think it's one of those things with his type of shot that you'd have to take a little bit off to be more accurate LOL at least when it comes to slap shots😝🤙

My favourite Petterson play was when he threw it into a wide open space, Boeser skated onto it, threw it out front, and Petterson whacked it out of the air. That was insane hockey sense and then the baseball swing.

The goal against the jackets was a thing of beauty. He was so pissed when he took the penalty and after he got out he was like fug it I'm going end to end. A better title would be “13 times Elias Pettersson did good plays in the NHL”. Why paint a pig and call it a president when you can just sell it for what it is? These were all good plays, but the world doesn’t really care much about your local hockey league.
@WhatThePuck4 жыл бұрын
Well the NHL is the best hockey league in the world, and some people watch it outside North America (and a lot of hockey players come from Europe). Also, Pettersson is the Vancouver Canucks’s top scorer, so he has a great level.
@tetrisgoat4 жыл бұрын
@@WhatThePuck The NHL also start their games at 4 AM, so people watching outside of your local area might happen, but it's not a rule. Best hockey league? No. The systems, the league, the rules are laughable. But it does have the best players, absolutely. Obviously Pettersson is a great player. But these are not world-shattering plays. They are good plays by a good player. Why do you need to try to sell it harder than that?
@WhatThePuck4 жыл бұрын
I agree on the fact that people around the world can’t watch the games live because they occur during the night. But in my opinion if you face a KHL team to an NHL team, the NHL team will win. All the good players from Russia, Sweden or Finland come to play in the NHL. I think the rules, the system is ok. So I don’t understand why you think the NHL isn’t the best league.
