He will be spoken along side Wayne Gretzky when he finishes his career. He may never get as many points. But he will have an impact like him. I'm just thankful he's a Canuck. How could the 4 teams ahead of the Canucks in his draft year, pass on him? Because of his size is my guess. All of those teams scouts should be fired.

Wow, what an impressive young man & unbelievable talent. His English is extremely good for this being his 1st year over here. This guy truly is an exceptional talent. Obviously you have all the hype around McDavid, Matthews etc. Pettersson is in their class.. already. He even does some things better than McDavid at this stage (for example he has a much better shot & is just a flat out better Goal scorer). Elias literally does everything on the ice at an elite level. He has All the tools.. he even plays Defense at a high level, which is rly rare for a Rookie that is such a great offensive player. The Canucks are back now with this core built around Elias, Boeser & Horvat, with Q. Hughes & Juolevi on the way to rly take the defense to the next level. There’s Hart’s & Art Ross’s in Elias’ future, as well as the Stanley Cup for Van City.

He’s a legitimate Hart candidate.
