Hardy does not seem to be used correctly in this video. I think he was using it like it was Thick Skin.

Joost Nauw I think You are right Joost. Now I understand why he use the BP ability with 3 damage and not this one with only 1 damage, because he had the thick skin in mind which only makes a minus one

This video raises so many questions. Other people in the comments are pointing out that Hardy means that the damage is reduced to 1 for the entire turn. I assume you guys got Hardy confused with Thick Skin but even then wouldn't Thick Skin only block the first damage dealt to it and not one damage per attack?

Yes, Thick Skin would only block the first damage dealt. The video is wrong either way.

Wow ... considering that the videos are literally required watching to even understand the rules for this game, it's shocking such a glaring error is still present in their own materials. I guess this proves how hard to understand the game is if their own employees don't even know what's going on!

Hardy means that damage is reduced TO one, not FOR one. So am I right, that You could have used „throw odds“ and spend only one bone? In this case one is already one and cannot be more reduced? And this one damage is enough to kill the baddie.

Not even that honestly, because it had already taken 1 damage from the attack die, and Hardy says it will only take a maximum of 1 damage per TURN.

I'm with Joost. He can only do one damage for his entire turn. This is what makes Hardy such a pain. What he described is Tough Skin 1.

Kevin Erskine: Yes you would need a character like Tink, that can do two attacks on a turn to deal more that one damage. One for himself and one for the bot.

@@kevinerskine3299but even if they did it based on thick skin, thick skin only applies to the first attack, so he could have used one bone tk still give it one damage and kill it. So they were wrong either way lol
