Story 2 reminds me of my time as a bookslave, uh, I mean bookseller at Barnes & Noble. Parents would leave their kids in the children's section and just walk off, even leaving the store completely for hours at a time. It was a pedophiles paradise back there. We caught more than one, and those that we didn't catch, left "presents". Do not just leave your children in a toy department of any store. The employees are not daycare workers and can not keep an eye on your child while doing their job. And just to clarify, this was in a very affluent area, and the parents just leaving their children to be molested and/or abducted were very affluent themselves.
@chacotahwatson22384 жыл бұрын
I was molested in a barns and noble when my father did just that, left me in the children’s section and then left to go across the street... thankfully despite my locking up and inability to describe the man the manager and B&N was able to pull up the camera footage and call the police. My father didn’t come back until he saw the police talking to me outside the B&N and then proceeded to decline the charges they wanted to press on the man who molested me... needless to say my father is/was just as bad as the man whom molested me and should have been charged then with child neglect/endangerment (which he wasn’t charged with for another 10 years and managed to pay his way out of)

@@fallyneprinciotta9058 I'm completely serious. I had to stand there and let a parent scream at me because her child had a man expose himself to her. She actually got the cops attention with that and she flat out told them that she left her 5 year old child alone in the store while she went to the Starbucks next door. (we weren't a "cafe store" that means the Starbucks was connected, but not part of our store) I can't tell you how many times we had to explain and post signs that we are not a daycare, and we have no guarantee of the safety of your child. I've got a bunch of horror stories from my time served in retail, but B&N was some of the worst.

I worked at Walmart as a nightshift stocker, 8 pm to 5 am. Now I liked the nightshift, quiet, people were nice... but one night when I was using the restroom at the front I couldn't get rid of the feeling that I was being watched. When I left the bathroom there was no one around so I went to the break area and was immediately attended to by some of the other female employees. Apparently they were avoiding the front because there was a man hiding and watching women use the bathroom... I've never felt more terrified and violated.

I remember about 2-3 years ago I was at Wal-Mart with my mom and my little sister for some last minute Christmas shopping and there was an older guy that kept staring at my little sister we didn't let her go more then a few feet away from us but at this point he thought she was only there with my mom he hadnt seen me with them so my mom texted me and said there's a guy following my little sister around everywhere so I told her to have my little sister just get some random item in the electronics section and go ask the cashier how much it was... so my little sister did and at this point I seen the guy follow her and got into an aisle by the register when my sister was headed back to my mom the guy had tried 2 reach out n grab my little sister as she walked by but at this point I was standing behind him so I grabed him and slammed him against the movies the dude was completely scared shitless and I told him 2 get the fuck outta there and he took off running outta the store I had 2 talk 2 management about what happend and I explained they reviewed the cameras to prove I was telling the truth they apologized about what happend and let me go.. apparently more then 1 person had complained about a creepy guy following there kids around trying to get them 2 leave with him...

If you think someone is going to follow you don't leave the store and wait until someone can walk you out. Ask around until you can get help. Being worried about offending someone or being a nuisance is nothing compared to taking the chance of someone hurting you.

I used to hate those issues with playing music on Spotify. I’m 14 and I love the 80s so I just stopped using music on my phone altogether. I started using a Walkman from the early 80s and a bunch of cassette tapes. Love it, it’s so much better.

A vampire would be totally screwed in Walmart. - First things first. Grab at least four of the most bad ass Super Soakers that you can find. Head to the outdoor section and fill up the Soakers, nearly to the top, with kerosene. Grab as many flares as you can. Bust over to the spice isle and top off the Super Soakers with garlic.

Once I was at Kmart (sorta like an Australian version of Walmart) and I was waiting for my grandparents to finish shopping. I decided to wander through the aisles (Being the stupid 9 year old I was) and I realized that I got lost. I was so scared, and to make it scarier, I saw this dirty looking man. I didn't know that he was following me until he would block me when I turned a corner. I ran up to the front of the store, and this young Kmart employee noticed I was lost and scared, so he announced on the speaker "Don't leave your children alone". I stayed there until i saw my grandparents. That was one of the scariest times of my life...

I like the second story on here. You see this sometimes. Someone just in the right place at the right time to prevent someone's life being destroyed. Now the story does not say whatever he reported to the police what happened or not. Hopefully he did. And if he did, it might have prevented more kidnappings from happening in his area. All in all, it was a good day for the good guys and I hope that more acts of kindness like that is repeated in the future.

I would ask that the both of you try to empathize with women in these kinds of situations rather than "sympathize" with all women in general, you have not experienced being in a situation like this where you are the physically much smaller one and are forced to deal with and analyze another persons behavior, or indeed over analyze sometimes (rarely), just to make sure you stay safe and are not raped or beaten. 1 in 3 women are sexually assaulted and 1 in 6 women are raped in their lifetimes, and the stats for these are grossly under-reported. I hope this helps.
