I’m a bedrock player and when I first visited the Pale Garden I was really hoping to have a proper experience there but it took me 2 nights before I encountered a creaking and instead I was just being harassed by regular hostile mobs and overall I found the biome itself to be very disappointing to visit.

Thank you, i found three small pale gardens on my main bedrock world and none of them had pale hearts, but i hadn't heard others complaining of such issues, so i was a bit worried it was an overlooked issue only effecting a small number of players. Nice to hear what's actually going on.

Yeah, this heart spawn difference is crazy. Loaded up a creative world to test, went to a decently-sized pale gardens (which is still pretty small by biome standards), turned all the trees to glass, and found a total of 3 hearts. Crazy. (not sure the exact dimensions, if I had to guess was probably 100 by 200 blocks or something)

It's code related technically, Java runs on OpenGL using Lightweight Java Game Library (Java), Bedrock runs on the Bedrock codebase (C++), this makes it so both versions require different development teams. I also remember hearing both teams barley have communication between each other

VERY IMPORTANT 4 BEDROCK! PLEASE READ!! Because the Creaking and biome are so rare on Bedrock, DO NOT remove the heart for the achievement. Instead, simply remove the block under it and put that block back as you found it. The achievement is will pop within 60 seconds after doing so. Removing the heart will result in making the Creaking killable (by hitting) after you put it somewhere else. This mob not being hit killable makes it very unique to other mobs. So try not to do that. If you've already explored dark forests on your world, then the pale forests will likely not spawn in those locations. I ended up having to travel almost 7,000 blocks just to find a pale forest. But no Creaking would spawn there. Luckily, there was another on a hill about 100 blocks away with ONE Creaking. Large area, but only one of them would spawn. Oh. And I game on Xbox.

You can move a heart and place it to farm resin. The creaking is still invincible if it spawn from a heart between 2 logs. I already have a resin farm going. Don't stress about removing the heart with silk touch

One thing I noticed about this video about the hitbox with the carpets growing to the side? It seems like it's because there's a small amount of wall moss or something growing *up* the block that resides squarely within the enlarged hitbox, which probably counts as part of the carpet. Very hard to see because of similar textures though, and if you're colorblind...? Well... good luck seeing it at all without color correction or something... Edit: I just rewatched it, and somehow missed him saying the vines exist. But it still makes sense to me that the hitbox is larger, because it's reminiscient of vines hitboxes, which take up the entire horizontal space of where they exist.

Ok, I thought it was just that Creaking Hearts were just really really rare, but I figured out after a while that it must just be a bug. I had chopped down dozens of Pale Oak trees and filled two entire Shulker Boxes with Pale Oak Logs and I found only one Creaking Hearts. I’m getting a little tired of Bedrock updates being released with major bugs that affect the new content playability…

Creaking Fact #14 More than one Creaking heart can be added to a pale oak tree. So long there are normal pale oake blocks above and below them, a Creaking heart can be activated. This means you can make a very large Pale Oak tree and have dozens of Creakings spawn from it.

I at least have hope that because they eventually fixed a similar generation issue with sculk in the Deep Dark and the focus on grass and flowers in the latest Preview that this Pale Heart issue will also be fixed. In the meantime I'm foregoing achievements in my 1.21.50 worlds and just using the add-on attached to that bug entry to work atound it for now.

Sleeping animation changed -- and you can't talk in your sleep anymore. Seems like drowned can pop a block up from the water. I had a baby drowned fly at me! Also, Creepers seem to bee-line at me now from a lot further away.

I got a huge Pale Garden in Java via seed with 3 Creakings hanging out with eachother when the first experimental snapshot dropped. Oddly it was only creakings & no zombies, no creepers, no spiders, & no zombies. Thank goodness I was in Creative mode to build, because you can't even push these guys aside when they get in the way. I usually play in Peaceful mode to reduce the number of mobs that get in the way of my builds, so I'll rarely ever see a Creaking again. Minecraft truly is a game where the open beta testing never ends after launch. They'll likely tweak this mob for a year.

The updates is good but I think they should make it so normal hostile mobs don’t spawn at night as it kinda ruins the atmosphere of the biome and I play bedrock and I used one of the pre made seeds so I can try out the pale garden and put my self in survival with loot and when it turned night I only found 2 creakings in total and most of the time I was just running all over the biome away from normal monsters and the creaking wasn’t at all the danger

I went into a fresh world with my current seed and lo and behold the dark forest ridge between two mountains near spawn was now a Pale Garden. I'm quite happy with this though as I find the resin block to be rather gaudy looking block and the Dark Forest is a visually more interesting biome.

8:44 this might never be fixed because in Minecraft bedrock edition every block has 1 hitbox but Minecraft Java has multiple hitbox so in Java you could get L shaped hitbox but in bedrock edition not possible

I thought that it is not possible to get the creaking heart on my current world on bedrock. I had to find mansion to get the rezin and then duplicated with the existing bug 😅 and finally was able to craft a heart and get the achievement 🎉

Honestly what I did was copy the world and have that copy be creative and locate the biome and spawn wardens in the biome and fly around it and listen if the warden is melee attacking something more than a few times and that’s how I find the creaking (as of now)

It did still feel pretty low since I was expecting to be surrounded by creaking mobs when I went in there. Fun Fact: The Pale Garden that I found is directly above an ancient city 😅

I play on bedrock and the first three gardens i went to had no creaking in them. The fourth one only had three creaking and was a fairly large biome which was disappointing. I am so glad we can craft creaking hearts.

i know we've been told that they have been going for parity between bedrock and java But ive never actually felt the parity working Switching between the 2, felt like different games (in a bad way, and to be clear, i grew up on pocket edition, so i dont think im biased) Switching between java and console felt like different games, but at least both of these games were equally playable, with lots of QoL features Tbh, i still think console had higher quality than current java, but thats not suprising considering how good console was (thanks 4J, you are the bestest)

Whats worse is that when the update came out i made a backup copy of my world, and when i went to a pale garden in my world, there was no creaking heart. But when i went back to my backup copy and went to the same pale garden, i found a creaking heart. Same seed. Same Minecraft edition. I dont know about the mob but the biom in istelf is already rare. in updated my world, I dont have it that much explored, since I have stated it not to long ago. But the nearest was 700 block away and really small, not even 100 blocks in width. But i already was there before the update. so no pale garden. The next one is over 3k blocks away. I also checks my world and other random seeds, the biom is mostly small and in comparison to other ones rare, atleast in java and what i saw

There's a ton of seeds for them if you have repeated bad luch, You can also find them with Chunkbase, Seeder, or MCseedmap. I noticed that they're always next to Dark Forest biomes.

Dunno if this is happening to anyone else, but I can't bonemeal pale oak saplings. Playing on Switch. In both creative and survival the sapling just eats bonemeal and will not grow into a pale oak tree. Though maybe it had to be on pale moss but nope, thought it was the space or light level but nope.

Seems Xbox bedrock Heart transplant achievement is different from PS trophy. On PS the way I got it to pop was place 2 pale oak logs with the gap, place the resin on the inner top and bottom of the gap then place the heart to active. Xbox seems to hold your hand too much like java with console commands.
