Some times all we need is one person, or two, to inspire us and lead us down a new and different path of discovery. Many years ago I went to a local quilt show and bought a pattern for cloth doll making. I made one and it was pitiful. I made another and it was a bit better. Soon I was making the dolls in numbers I could not believe and each was better than the last. Now, years later I have found a new doll and a new path to follow and it is just as exciting. Thank you for being the new teacher. Your patterns and tutorials are inspiring and just what I have been needing durning this difficult Covid time to turn me around. Now I have 4 Great Grand Children who will learn about the love of their Great Grand Mother, whom they do not see that often, by having a wonder Waldorf doll of their very own to love and cherish. Again, from my heart, Thank You

Thank you for sharing your journey, moving and inspirational to listen to. As you have been so true and committed to following your now path. Incredible you have been making dolls for only thirteen years! As well as being a dedicated mother at the same time. Indeed the world needs dolls like you are making, they express so much soulfulness...

i feel the same excitement and sneak away to create dolls. i just discovered this and am so grateful to find a creative outlet that combines so many things i already loved like wool and yarn it is so fun, so exhilarating to create a face out of just a puff of wool. and thank you for finally giving me the push to try a sewing machine!

You have worded the journey of doll making so well. My daughter and now my grandsun attend a Waldorf school. I facilitate goddess doll making classes. The personal joy I feel when a student creates a spirit goddess doll from their soul is a magical experience.

It is so lovely to hear your heart felt words about your craft. I had tears from joy at the end of it. Realizing that life has its ups and downs, but the joy of doing something you love is its greater purpose. To see the love of your craft coming into your hands and the joy that you hope it brings to others when you have to let it go. Bless you my dear for all your love and passion that you have shared with others.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful gift with the world.I so much admire your dolls and absolutely would love to have one to hug and love. I've tried to sew and make a couple little dolls( 1 elf and 1 fairy) but they didn't turn out as Wonderful as yours, my daughter continues to encourage me to keep going and I do try, I'm disabled and some days I don't feel good but you inspire me to not give up on my dream of having a sweet doll someday I can hug and love. Blessings ❤️😇

My dolls didn't turn out as wonderful at the beginning either, but my journey is testament that you learn and grow and succeed at creating the dolls that your heart desires. Even though my dolls were far from perfect when I started, and they still are, I loved them with all my heart, imperfections and all.

@@Figandme Thank you for responding. Of course my family and daughter think the dolls I've made a pretty but I want to make them better than b4, I want to keep working on dolls that are prettier than the ones I made previously. I truly enjoy doing this, alot of times I find myself singing or praying as I sew sculpt and paint, my grandsons giggle and they love my dolls but I want to do more, thank you for sharing and inspiring all who love to make or just cuddle dolls ❤️ C 😇

Animo!

Oh my darling Fabs! What a sweet and beautiful video to partially document your 13 years as a doll artist. And what an artist you are. I understand your hesitance in calling yourself an artist. I paint. I've done acrylic but for the past 2.5 yeas it's been watercolor. When people would ask, "Are you an artist?" I would answer, "Well, I'm artistic." Haha! But you are one of my favorite artists. Just amazing. I really want to take advantage of the sale, but funds are tight right now. How long is the sale running? Love you!
