This car blew everyone away, LITERALLY during the 1970 Can-Am! It was banned as the fans sucking air from under the car to make it stick to the road proved to be an unfair advantage over the other competitors who didn't have such a device for their own cars. Also, any dirt, stones, and other debris the car drove over was sucked up by the fans and shot out of the back of the car! Anybody driving behind it got debris thrown their way!! In fact, if you could place this car on the roof inside a building, the fans actually have enough suction power to keep the car on the roof!! As such, you can even drive it on those Hot Wheels loops REGARDLESS of your speed! You will not fall off!!

Did u know formulas can drive on any roof at top speed and also can FCKING FLY (considering their shape, they are able to fly for real... but not to land correctly :l i guess on gt it doesn't matter :) Also don't think i'm making fun of that beast, i'm telling things randomly :)

I'm pretty sure they tried to replicate the suction effect in this car, it had obvious high levels of downforce but when you got it airborne, say over the crest at el capitan or the crest about 1 minute into the nordschleife , it had no downforce and flew for miles. probably why the suction-breaking bumps down the mulsanne cause the instability

Wisedom Spreading actually the issue with fan cars or like the sliding skirt f1 cars from the 70s was that when they hit a curb and the car was raised off the ground, the seal under the car was broken and the low pressure air, and hence the downforce suddenly reduced, so having no downforce unless planted to the road was realistic in gt4

Actually the car was never “sealed” to the ground, there was almost always a clearance of roughly 1 inch between the side skirts and the ground. It was designed with rough road surfaces in mind, so the real thing would certainly have no trouble keeping a straight line down the old Mulsanne Straight. Sometimes simulators/racing games aren’t faithful to the original driving experience of certain cars at all, and this is one of them. It’s much more forgivable than Forza’s constant butchering of the McLaren F1 road car’s performance though.

karkarra GT4’s graphics were impressive. But also remember that this was a game that came out in the late stages of the PS2’s lifespan so the developers were able to master and know the capabilities the console could be pushed to. The PS3 came out under two years after.

A petroleum museum sounds like the most boring thing ever, but it’s actually super cool, I’d highly recommend. on gt5 everytime i see this car on the cup races i always restart the game xD, and then when i got the redbull x vettel they was trying to hide this car by not showing it, and then i restarted it so many times to race against this thing and finally i seen it with the other cars and started kicking ass with that vettel, after winning the cup (gran turismo all stars) i finally beat that damn thing, i was so happy until i said "NOW BEAT THAT YOU GIANT PIECE OF FUCKING GRAY CHEESE!!!!!!" lol
