& other English country wear-i.e tweed Ratcatcher, Norfolk Jacket, Sport Coat, Flatcap/messengerboy cap (& shooting uniform).
Note on Cheviot sheep, Tweed's source: it's not a bordersheep, it's an ENGLISH sheep. Was bred by English monks for hundreds of years. Eventually 19th cent Scot took/drove it across border for commercial purposes and changed its name.
Correction: twill is a weave, tweed wool is cheviot wool, like homespun. Though they now do tweed in merino wool, and roughen the 'spin'. The twill-tweed thing is related to a myth regarding its origin likely made up by a Scottish merchant so I didn't include it (though it helps the case).
