Tweed Kilts Are HOT! Will This Kilt Trend Stick?

We have seen fashion trends come and go in the world of Highland Dress. Usually spurred on by the kilt rental industry in Scotland. Essentially, new ideas come about over there when wedding suppliers get the sense that young men don’t want to dress like their dads for the Big Day.
As a result fads come and go, just like in tuxedo styles here in the States. A few years ago an all-black outfit was the bomb. More recently tweed kilt suits have taken over. And MOST recently we have seen (and actually really love) the rise of tweed-style tartans. That is, traditional tartans (some clan, some original) woven in a soft tweed with lush, organic colors and marled thread.
So is tweed timeless? Is the tweed kilt going to rule the next decade? Mac, Ian and Rocky discuss what they like and dislike about these kilts.

I got tickets to the next WWE PPV so I'm working on making a custom Undertaker themed kilt. Black with purple velvet pleats. A custom coffin shaped sporran black leather with purple faux fur and a metal of his insignia on the flap. Then a purple patch of his insignia on the pockets. I'm also darning custom Undertaker kilt hose and a matching Kippah. My wonderful wife is helping me out with it. He's a goth icon so she's a huge fan.

Tweed kilts are ROASTY! Having made one myself (in blue tweed), its is NOT one I would want to do every day as it literally roasts my legs!
