@@dipstiksubaru3246 Dude above isnt wrong though. Every one of the events at this track has at least one guy that JusT aINT cArE. Couple years back (I think 2 maybe 3) there was a dude in a super old pro mod style big tire that was doing donuts to help dry out the track. I let you guess who it was that wadded his car up that night straight into the power poles shutting down the night. Its not just the drivers (yeah they could have a more sensitive touch), the track NEVER lets the suspension settle. So unless you want to take your racecar for a really slow pass you will be moving around. People are more than able to not line up beside him, but they jUSt AiNt caRE. WADDD IT UP, WINCH IT IN THE TRAILER, REPAIR, AND DO IT ALL AGAIN. lol

There's so many simple solutions to this issue - yet you still see so many people standing beside a car with their thumbs up😂 I always thought that just putting a light facing out your windshield to a button on the steering wheel would be the common sense option; but sending a headlight signal at a target boost level is definitely one of the cooler options for sure!

Lol "driving straight" if you've spent any time on this channel or any other drag racing channel, especially no prep you'd know : driving straight isn't as simple as holding the wheel straight and flooring it. Driving these 1000+ hp cars down a sketchy track takes alot of skill and knowledge.

There’s an abandoned drag strip about 2 miles from where I grew up and the shut down is also a hill. We used to grease up car hoods and use them for sleds in the winter when it would snow. Super sketchy because of the trees but damn it was fun

We cut up large boxes and rode them down steep slopes covered in weeds as a kid. Back when kids went outside, got some sun etc. Now they sit in a dark room with electronic babysitter.

I think he has enough experience driving cars that skate around that he feels like he has a handle on it - but that lightweight Vega is just a whole other level of sketch, very unforgiving. The outcome really sucks(though it certainly could've been much worse), Jeff is a good dude though. BTW, if you go into racing *expecting* anyone to pay for damage to your car... well, don't get into racing, because that isn't how it works. You're the one choosing to lineup next to that person, you know the risk. Don't like the risk? Don't race.

That car is in a bunch of their videos and regularly makes it to finals or wins. Car is no joke. There was a 3v fox with twins going around a couple years ago with stock pony wheels running 7’s. They make a ton of power with work, but people don’t want to do it. My 06 has made 560 tire since July of 06, used to be one of the fastest cars around back then

@@williamward3492 He 100% deserved that win light.I raced for over 15 years with my Malibu -64.I know what that feels like.I had similar situations with 10-71 blown ex pro stock 538 bbc running wildly out of control.When it starts going you just hold on.The adrenaline aftershock is just immensely intense feeling of being alive.

I have been here a million times and never been at the top of the hill. Was running late and got parked up top. We decided to walk back up to the truck Saturday night to beat traffic and watch Tommy and Cj run the finals. I was shocked at the speed they’re still going at the top. Plus the way the Falcon sounds it was a rush.
