Got my Asphalt step over recently, finished assembly in about 1 hr. next day went 35 miles easily, still had about 40% battery. I would recommend this bike, runs nice, looks good. Will really go if you turn it up, the pedal assist really smooth. You still get exercise, but have a lot of options for pedal assist, still can go full power if wanted.

Where did you see 350 lb payload capacity? The website shows 300 lb when I look.

Hello, I'm still seeing 350lbs for non step thru version on this page under Technical. www.mokwheel.com/products/asphalt?sca_ref=4577597.GpmO0gj2h4 The step thru version says 300lbs. Thanks

Nice review. I bought the Mokwheel Asphalt ST. I wanted a commuter bike (not fat tire but 'wider' tire) and was about to buy the Aventon Level 2 until I came across the Mokwheel Asphalt ST. I test drove both the Mokwheel and Aventon Level 2 for several miles. Both are 'step-thru' bikes and performed well but I preferred the ride of the Mokwheel. Mokwheel also makes a fat tire version, mountain bike and folding bike. To my surprise it was $1,500 (a steal imo) which included: 1. Torque peddling. I had it up over 25 mph at PAS 1 peddling pretty hard. What I like is unlike other methods (like cadence) the harder you peddling the faster you go regardless of the set PAS level. If I set it to PAS 3 I get to 25 mph with less effort PAS 1. That's the difference. Honestly, torque peddling is genius. 2. Its very stable and well built. No wobbling. Even at 30 mph it feels safe. 3. Ergonomics. At first I thought I would not like the handle bars but after riding it around on the test drive I came to appreciate how comfortable it felt. 4. Its fast. If you want it to be. If not you can adjust the settings to limit speed. 5. No herky jerky with the motor. Its very smooth. 6. Color display. I will never go back to black and white. 7. Lights - powerful headlight, great rear lights and breaking lights. All integrated and powered by the battery. 8. It has a built in horn that's LOUD! 9. 7 speed gear shifter. 10. Rear rack. 11. Comfortable seat. 12. Front suspension fork that works really well. 13. The battery lasts 50 to 60 miles easily. 14. Durable metal pedals (not cheap plastic ones). 15. Charges in 3 to 4 hours. 16. Mokwheel also offers the bike in a 'step-over' version. 17. 2 year bumper-bumper-bumper warranty. The only thing I would recommend to Mokwheel for the next version is more gears. This one has 7 gears but you can feel a bit of ghost peddling at around 25 mph. Not a big deal but an 8th gear would be helpful (10 gears even better). Maybe make it an upgrade when ordering so that if customers want it they can pay a bit more for the upgrade. Otherwise its a near perfect commuter bike. Great bike. Highly recommend.

Thanks for the detailed and thorough comment. Hopefully Mokwheel sees your comments and incorporates improvements in future models.

@@ColinLeung Its just one improvement - an extra gear. Otherwise its a darn good ebike and the price is right. I've owned several ebikes and this one is a "best buy" imo.

Can’t the different passes of the different levels be adjusted or customized in the settings?

Yes, see the first part of the video where I over the programming at 16:25 kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWOud2SAbNijq9k

Can the volts be charged? I noticed 56 volts option in settings.
@ColinLeung Жыл бұрын
The setting can be changed in the display, but I dont know if it'll give any performance boost since the voltage is limited by the 48v battery.

Does the tail light come with it and is it integrated?

The tail light had to be installed. It comes with the package

Motor seems a bit loud?

It's not too bad. It might be the mic picking up the noise
