If you're looking to replace a lost smart key for your car, you'll likely need to visit a dealership and provide proof of ownership. The dealership will then program a new key to work with your car. If your smart key isn't working, here are some things you can try: Check the battery: Smart keys run on batteries, and over time the battery can drain, causing detection issues. Check for signal interference: Phones and radios can interfere with the signal between your key and car. Reset your key: To reset your key, you can try holding down the lock button for one second while the car is off, then turning the key four times within 10 seconds and removing it.

I had the same issue, and is common on most disc brake bikes that you assemble yourself. The easy method to adjusting disc brakes is loosening the two bolts holding the front brake caliper so that it wiggles freely, press and hold the front brake lever, tighten the caliper bolts, and let go of the brake lever. It should seat the disc in the middle of the pads. Lift the front, and spin the wheel. If it still rubs then you can manually center the disc between the pads. I prefer to do the top first and then bottom. Loosen the upper caliper bolt freely and lower caliper bolt just enough that it allows the top of the caliper to pivot when pushed on with force, manually push the top of the caliper such that the disc is centered, and tighten. Repeat for the lower bolt. I hope this helps.

Thank you so much for putting this series together. You gave me the confidence to do this service on my own (well with the help from my husband). Took us about 90 minutes - finding the right 10mm socket to fit the small gap, and then having the rubber gasket come out of the spark plug socket. I also seem to have a bad valve seal as my plugs were oily too - so thanks for mentioning that’s what it was due to.

You can try screwing the handle and disconnecting/reconnecting the display cable to see if that does anything. If not, contact support. They have been good about sending me replacement scooters. An "E10" error on an Ecoroad scooter typically indicates a communication issue between the scooter's display panel (dashboard) and the main controller unit, meaning the two components aren't properly communicating with each other. What to check when encountering an E10 error: Loose connections: Check all cables connecting the display to the controller for any loose or damaged wires. Display panel connection: Try disconnecting and reconnecting the display panel to the scooter. Controller issue: In some cases, the controller itself might be faulty, requiring a professional repair. Battery connection: Ensure the battery is properly connected to the scooter. What to do: Restart the scooter: Try turning the scooter off and on again to reset the communication. Check the manual: Consult your Ecoroad scooter user manual for specific troubleshooting steps regarding the E10 error. Contact support: If the problem persists, reach out to Ecoroad customer support for further assistance.

So if the stock hub motor tops out on the average of 13mph, then first that mean you’re pedaling faster than the pedal assist? Hence just riding a bike?! Then when you slow down to almost 13 the assist helps again
@ColinLeung
@ColinLeung 17 күн бұрын
Correct. Most ebike motors with cadence sensors stop providing assist if you pedal over the max speed, and you waste effort pedaling faster than the rpm required for the pedal assist sensors to register.

Anything for Core Ser. Message?
@ColinLeung
@ColinLeung 17 күн бұрын
Hello, I'm not too familiar with that message. According to Google: A "Core Ser." message on a Smart car dashboard indicates a critical system error related to the car's core functions, essentially meaning a major system malfunction requiring immediate attention from a qualified mechanic at a Smart dealership or service center; it often signifies a need to have the car towed as driving with this message could potentially damage the vehicle further. Key points about the "Core Ser." message: Severity: This is a very serious warning, not to be ignored. Possible causes: Issues with the engine control unit (ECU), electrical system failures, transmission problems, or other major components. What to do: Do not drive further: Pull over to a safe location and contact your Smart dealer or roadside assistance immediately. Check the owner's manual: Consult your car's manual for specific instructions regarding the "Core Ser." message and what it might indicate for your particular model. Get professional help: A qualified Smart technician will need to diagnose the problem using specialized diagnostic tools and potentially repair or replace faulty components.

I bought the same Hitway BK29M Cruiser Ebike on Ebay from the owner of Hitway. He has a warehouse in Pomona California where it was shipped from about 7 or 8 months ago. I paid $769 plus tax. I ride it a lot on paved trails, streets and roads with and without bike lanes in Southern NV. I Ebay messengered the seller for info. on changing some of the parameters to get it to a top speed of 28 MPH. He replied his lawyer would not let him do that in the USA. I tried several times from owners of this same model Ebike to change some of the "P"arameters to increase the top speed but they all failed and my Ebike could only reach 19.8 MPH. I was frustrated until now! Your video above was easy to follow and I changed everything you told us to do and just 30 minutes ago got on my Hitway BK29M Ebike and was able to ride just over 25 MPH. Several months ago installed a small digital Ebay $16 GPS and modified it to mount on the handle bars with a small battery bank. I used a glue gun and a bike handle bar clamp to hold it. The battery bank was Gorilla duct taped to the chopper handle bar on the side. It is accurate within 1 to 2 MPH. So now in PAS 3 i can reach a top speed of 25.6 MPH. If you just use the twist throttle it will also reach 25.6 MPH top end when you are in PAS 3. The battery that came with my BK29M is an 18 Amp. and lasts longer. I added a rearview mirror (glass) and a bottle holder to the handle bars. Thank You Colin. Chopper Mike.

Why front wheel and not the rear hub motor?
@ColinLeung
@ColinLeung 19 күн бұрын
Thanks for the question. A manufacture reached out to me to review the front hub, which is why I posted this. Some of the pros are better weight distribution, flat tires are easier to change, lighter, more drivetrain options, compatibility, and easy installation. Cons are poor traction, harsher ride, poor handling, less durable, less stealthy, and potential to snap your front fork. I have another view for a rear hub install, which can be seen here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nHjLnWqof9-hndU

Great video! By the way, do your handlebars still move slightly if you place your knees around the front wheel and turn the handlebars? I don't know if they aren't supposed to move at all or not because mine still feel somewhat loose even though I've tightened all the bolts. They don't move if I don't put my knees around the front wheel though, only if I stabilize the front wheel
@ColinLeung
@ColinLeung 22 күн бұрын
Hello, the handlebar should not rotate at all. It is only moving when you stabilize the front wheel, or is it moving while you're riding? Is the long tube that the handlebar attaches to also rotating? If so, then something is loose. Try loosening the bolts outside the folding mechanism, and the one inside the folding mechanism. Then tighten the bolt inside the folding mechanism first until the wheel doesn't turn at all, and backing it off slowly until the front wheel rotates freely. Then tighten the folding clamp bolts. See if that helps.
