This is the worst electric scooter from TST electric company. No matter what mobile you use, it doesn't connect with the mobile or app. And the shocking thing is you can't get an angle to fill the air in the front wheel tire. Moreover, the battery goes out of charge immediately after 7 miles. By any chance, if you turn on the high mode within the next 2 minutes, the battery goes out. It never touched the max speed as they mentioned. This is a waste of money to buy it.

I am still torn between buying this Hoverfly Z5 model or the Gyroor C1S. Which one do you think is better? Or would you recommend another electric scooter with seat? I am short (152 cm) and not much strength living on the second floor where I need to carry the scooter up the apartment complex. The area itself is in a relative hilly terrain. Thank you so much for your videos.

Hello, they are pretty much the same in terms of performance. The C1S has the center basket if you like that. I've dealt with Hoverfly customer support, and they were responsive. If either of those don't matter then go with the one that's cheaper.

I purchased a vetanya Bison and am very sorry I did. These are built in China and good luck getting any sort of warranty service. The controller burnt out on mine in less then 2 months and they finally agreed to ship me one after I put a paypal claim against them. Still it is taking them more then 2 months to ship it to me and I am still waiting. I don't know what motor they use and most likely cannot get parts for it like planetary gears. They use a controller that is not available in the US so you can't even buy replacement parts. They have removed all the brand names from the parts like the brakes. motor etc. Vetanya shows as a US company on their site but I don't know what if anything this company does the bike is actually manufactured and shipped by HK JIARUI CHENG ELECTRONIC COMMERCE LIMITED. which has only been in business for 2 years. The battery is proprietary and I think the likelihood of getting a new in a few year is small as I doubt this company will stay in business that long. There are much better options then buying there ebikes.

The manufacture warranty for the battery is 180 days. Does your timeframe fall within that? I'd suggest seeing if you can open up the lower panel to see the battery plug, voltage and capacity. Great review!! How is the lag on the torque sensor and throttle. One reviewer stated that its a few seconds until torque or the throttle kicks in after being pressed or pedaled.
@ColinLeung

The throttle engaged within a second. The torque sensor really depended on how fast you pedaled, and could vary from a fraction of a second to a few seconds.

I just test drove one the other day and I really like it! The throttle was quite laggy though but the torque sensor was spot on. I did reach out to the company and asked if it would be possible to adjust the throttle sensitivity in a future firmware update and they seemed open to the idea. Other bikes have the ability to adjust throttle sensitivity which I think would be beneficial.

@MrNecryptic
@MrNecryptic 10 күн бұрын
peddling, but you can hold the throttle and pedal too so you can go above 21 mph but as soon as you hit that the throttle kicks in to keep you there until you can pedal faster than that again.
@ColinLeung
@ColinLeung 10 күн бұрын
Are you referring to the 7 gears on the rear shifter, or the electric pedal assist levels? The rear electric motor kicks in when the pedal assist sensor by the front bottom bracket detects motion. The shifter controls how easy or difficult it is to pedal, so the motor will turn on the faster you pedal. The pedal assist levels only limit the max speed of the bike whether you pedal or apply throttle. There's no difference in torque.

Thanks to your video, I discovered that there was a screw behind the sticker to tighten the handlebars on the stem. But there's a design flaw When you fold the handlebars, this screw loosens and then there's play in the handlebars. How do you lock this screw? I've only ridden 10 km in 15 days, because the problem occurred immediately.
@ColinLeung
@ColinLeung 11 күн бұрын
Hello, I'm not quite sure which screw you are referring to in order to tighten the handlebar to the stem. The lever should be the only thing that you lock and unlock to rotate the handlebar. If there's a screw then it should be tight all the time. You can use red loctite to permanently lock screw threads. If that doesn't solve it then something may be stripped.
@h.montgomery
@h.montgomery 11 күн бұрын
@@ColinLeung I'm referring to the single screw just behind the handlebar lever, through the stem. This screw is hidden by a sticker. When I bought the scooter, the handlebars tightened nicely with the lever. But after unlocking the handlebars 10X, this screw loosened and the handlebars were loose, even when tightened with the lever. The threadlocker is probably a good idea. In the meantime, I put some glue on the screw head and put a sticker over it. But I know the screw will come loose again. It's poorly designed.

@@Mr.Duck_Editzz Fast and slow is a relative term, and depends on the rider. 15 - 18mph is the typical max speed for scooters in the sub $500 range, and are adequate for a lot of riders. Yes, you can get a faster scooter that can go 30mph, but it will also cost $800+. Ebikes have different classes, and higher classes may be illegal to use on public roads depending on the state. Class 2 ebikes can go up to 20mph, Class 3 ebikes can go up to 28mph, and other ebikes can go even faster than that.

I completely second your opinion about foot peg. I bought this about 6 months ago. If riding at high speed or an upward incline, the footpeg tends to collapse causing you to loose stability. Not sure why those foot pegs don't have tensioners to hold them in place. Although i rarely ride it, I hope the battery lasts a while and possibly find a replacement when its time to replace.

@ColinLeung 18 күн бұрын
Hello Mary, is the handlebar tilting forward? There is clamp on the stem held by a bolt. Adjust the handlebar so that it's centered with the stem, rotate it to your desired angle, and then tighten it. If the stem is loose then hold the front wheel with your legs so it's straight with the bike frame, turn the handlebar so it's perpendicular to the wheel, and tighten the bolt on top of the stem. If that doesn't work then your headset may be loose.
