I keep getting error like :"Could not log into the domain with the specified credentials. Supply a valid credential and try again." any idea on what I might done wrong when tryin to add a new domain to an existing forest option

This is related to permission issue. You have to use enterprise domain admins credentials to add new domain in existing forest.
