Congratulations, very nice pond and installation. But i have 1 question, why dit you use 90 ° elbows instead off bends. You could have gained a lot off hydraulique pressure losst ?( less électricité pump costs). Greetings from france.

Amazing pond tim it will look great with some jumbo's in there mate. Only way that pond could look better would be if they had the window in the room aswell. I bet they live just round the corner from me aswell as I'm from Waterlooville just outside of Portsmouth.

Could have make a great airlift setup and run the pond on air only and reduce the operating cost. I can get 40,000lph out of two 110mm airlifts on less than 58W for the entire pond.

Looks like a dream pond Tim, but would it be enough to compete with algae?
@TimWaddington2 жыл бұрын
Algae will be a massive issue. Cleaning the glass will be hard work but that’s what the client wanted.

Amazing and unique pond build! I had a quick question, I was thinking about adding a UV sterilizer vs UV calrifier from Evolution Aqua but wasn't sure which would be better suited for my pond. I live over in the US and in the summer/spring we get a lot of sunlight over the pond and was wondering which would be ideal for keeping algae growth down? Note, I do have a pergolaover my pond which provides some shade as well.

@gordontrinh7313 жыл бұрын
@@TimWaddington gotcha, could you explain why you chose the EVO55 over maybe the EVO30? Was just looking over the max pond size chart specifications on their website which said the 55 would be good up to almost 15000 US gallons
@TimWaddington3 жыл бұрын
@@gordontrinh731 no UV does what it says on the box. I use the 55’s for the power and bulbs add similar price to 30’s.. you can’t over kill with UV

That is one hell of a dream pond, I cannot imagine the cost to build that but why hasn't the builder used stainless steel struts for the windows instead of as you say he's going to cover the steel struts with stainless or chrome?
@TimWaddington2 жыл бұрын
They are stainless steel . They are just covered in resin etc. so they get a chrome finish

love the pond but where do you stop lol, its too big and i think 5000 gallons is more than enough and if you get problems with individual fish in that size pond your nt gonna see it let alone catch it for treating but great pond none the less ;)
@TimWaddington3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately a 5000 gallon pond just wouldn’t suit the house and garden so I understand why they wanted the size. Catching koi won’t be an issue 👍🏻
