It has historical president, almost none of King John “Le Bel”’s entourage of knights survived the battle, most were killed by arrow or archers during the start of the battle, while many others died fighting at his side.

There is a very famous story about that. At that point in the battle, as John was doing his last stand, his young son, Philip, 14yo, was looking for him "Père, gardez-vous à droite. Père, gardez-vous à gauche" (Father, watch on your right. Father, watch on your left). Philip was therefore called "the Bold" (le Hardi) and received Burgundy later and married the count of Flanders' only daughter. Ironically, his lineage was to be big, big, trouble for the kings of France...

Look closely. Many of the minifigures that get stabbed or sliced are just reused torso that were already destroyed. Also, the ones that get stabbed or chopped are just generic colored minifigure bodies with decals stickers on them. So, in all he didn't really sacrifice any of the actual vintage bodies.

What I liked about this LEGO stop motion was that it was educational and did a good job of showing the inescapable and permanent horrors of war. It's still graphic with dismemberment, head gashes, and the like but it's LEGO. It shows you the terribility of killing civilians and plundering their homes while still being LEGO-fan-friendly. Lord, have mercy on us all. God bless.

I think he was at the battle at Crecy so he might have remembered. These German knights might not be there or hadn't heard about that battle. If these knight had heard of the news then they would have remembered and not to attack.

I love how well "choreographed" this battle is in Lego form. We're learning about the 100 Years War in High School history right now. Although this is literally made with Lego, this helped me visualize the battle.
