It's possible, I think more likely he was conserving energy to not gas out, and with someone as fast as Mighty Mouse, mistakes get punished fast. He muscled the 630 degrees spin.

Of course yeah, energy conservation may he a part of it, but you don't use nearly as much energy in jou jitsu as you do wrestling, and as the bigger guy your gameplan takes less energy to implement than the smaller guy.
