Just found your channel... I'm thinking about the Fender FR12 as I'm trying to go ampless. I don't want to use the Boss pedal you're talking about as I have already acquired a few other amp sim pedals already. You were saying the Nux Atlantic provided a line signal to the FR12 to get your clean tone prior to you owning the IR200?? Like you I'm aiming for a clean natural guitar tone before applying any distortion or overdrive as required..... would appreciate your insight on the achievement of that great initial tone I've heard you get with your Tele on another couple of posts here on KZbin..

Thank you for spending some time with me here on my channel...a very modest offering among literally millions of choices...and I am grateful for your time and your question regarding the FR-12 which you also inquired about on Video #137. The MAIN POINTS will be CAPITALIZED as to EMPHASIZE IMPORTANCE;) The answer is YES...the "SECRET" is hitting the FR-12 with a LINE LEVEL signal...not an INSTRUMENT LEVEL signal (which is considerably LESS DB's than LINE LEVEL)...as the FR-12 is NOT AN AMPLIFIER...it is a CABINET. And in this case...a CABINET with a 1000W 12" SPEAKER that can handle this PERFECTLY with EXTREME VOLUME & CLARITY...ALL RELATED to the INPUT you are PROVIDING. ***THIS IS ACHIEVED by the LAST PEDAL in your GUITAR SIGNAL which NEEDS TO BE CAPABLE of SUPPLYING THE LINE LEVEL SIGNAL to the FR-12...in my case...the BOSS IR-2OO. The LAST PEDAL is the SECRET to PROVIDING THE LINE LEVEL SIGNAL. If your pedal configuration doesn't OUTPUT a LINE LEVEL at the LAST PEDAL...the FR-12 WILL NOT FUNCTION AS DESIGNED...as it has NO INTERNAL AMPLIFIYING CAPABILITIES. I own 2 FR-12 CABINETS...along with 3 FENDER TONEMASTERS amps...the Deluxe, the Twin Reverb & the Super Reverb...ALL 3 of which are AMPLIFIERS. The FR-12's are SIMPLY THE FINEST SONIC SOLUTION that I have EVER EXPERIENCED "LIVE" (now with over 300 HOURS of performance and almost 100 shows)...EXTREMELY CLEAN...EXTREMELY LOUD...EASY TO ADJUST...and LOVES THE PEDALS I use.
