Hahaha! But, seriously, I don't smoke weed. I also stopped bringing any whiskey along on any thru-hike, even a one-nighter, sometime before the summer began. I just was really deep in thought and not paying enough attention to the trail. #cutenotsmart ;)

Another fine job of filming Christina. Your hike was as gorgeous as usual and your narration always adds to the enjoyment of it all. I think that your equipment absolutely is up for what you need for your next adventure planned for winter break. Very good idea that you gave it a test and trial though first before you have to rely on it. The important thing is that you enjoyed yourself again out there. Thanks for sharing another part of your life with us, take care and I will see you on the next one.

Well I'm glad that no one else was at the 1st campsite! At least it worked out in that aspect. This part of the trail seemed a bit more technical than the other direction? Thanks for sharing another great adventure with us! 😊

Hello, I enjoy watching your videos. I’m curious about the dehydrated food you make. Could you talk more about that on your videos such as how long you dehydrate your particular meals, recipes, and how long it takes to rehydrate them at camp? Thanks. Love your adventurous spirit!

I will be making just this type of video very shortly. Actually, it will be my next video, come to think of it (as I am not doing any hiking or camping this coming weekend). So stay tuned for that! And I’m thrilled you enjoy my videos! Thank you for watching!

Nice video! I like backpacking but can't imagine doing the extra work of filming. I'm new to the channel and don't know what your upcoming winter trip is going to be but I'm curious, maybe you've said. It sounds like you are testing your bag right at its rated boundary. I'd be careful about taking that for a deeper winter trip without something else. You mentioned extra layers, maybe that's enough? For my winter trips, I use a similarly rated bag x2 (actually the second bag is a -7C quilt). I can take the two of them down to -18C (at least, haven't tested lower). I also highly recommend getting a thermometer like the thermodrop which can track overnight lows. It's useful for dialing in your sleep system (set it away from your tent and the fire to get a good reading). The place you camp might not be anything like the weather report, especially in valleys or by lakes or if your dealing with any significant elevation changes. Anyway, I don't mean to preach. Good luck on that upcoming trip. Cheers!

Welcome to the channel! I’ve been wanting to get a digital thermometer for my winter trips, because although the forecast often predicts a certain temperature, it doesn’t always get that low and yes, that makes it difficult to test different gear and or sleep systems. Thank you for sharing your experience, it is much appreciated. Have a wonderful week and we’ll see you here next Wednesday! 😊🙏🏼✌🏼

I also could not find a site recently at Algonquin, last week on the Highlands Provoking Lake loop. Me and my friend found and stayed at our first two nights reserved sites but we could not find our third and last....that site or/and its side trail was NOT marked!
@Womaninthewoods132 жыл бұрын
Sorry to hear that you had the same issue I did. Yes, there needs to be consistency with how the sites are marked. Often, two, the site is marked but not what number it is. Perhaps if enough of us contact Ontario Parks and let them know, they’ll do something about it.
@katanaguttman40632 жыл бұрын
@@Womaninthewoods13 yes, if they are doing "reserve specific site by number" than all sites and site side trails should be marked well(and be that way prior to the change from "reserve by lake" and not after or not at all!
