What about the use of the depth stop? Mine is located on the left side and has a spring pin that prevents it from being lowered. Do I need to remove the pin or is there something obvious I'm missing?

How can I remove the Chuck from a 14-650 .. I don’t have the Chuck key anymore and have a broken chisel and check stuck in the mortiser ?

I’ve had one for years but never figured out which fasteners to loosen in order to free the head on its ways, which must have been tightened for shipping. Nothing in the instructions and no response from the dealer. Kind of proves how much I needed the machine.

I just bought one. I’ve worked with these things for years but, I cannot get the chisel to fit into the head. Set screw is all the way out. Has anyone else had this issue, and any advice is welcomed. Thank you.

Did you ever get them to fit? Do you recommend the Delta? I'm looking at either this or the Jet. I'm tired of wasting time hand chiseling mortises. Never used one of these before.
