Wonderful question! I've stayed in Bali for 1 year and without a doubt for first-time visitors, check out Canggu and Seminyak (they are both better than Kuta), if you are looking for the same vibe but without a beach then Ubud.

These vidéos always picture bali as quiet and peaceful place. In reality there are thousands of tourists in all those spots. There is no escaping it. Everywhere you have to pay and everywhere dozens of tourist bus. There are no more peaceful places here.
