I'm watching this video right now, and I've noticed after Up to the Hyatt Centric that so far none if the hotels shown have ramps for wheelchairs, or 4 wheel walkers either to the main entrance, or to the pool areas. Unless they just were not shown in the video. I think it would be very helpful for those of us who do use mobility aids who want to go to Hawaii if you would show, or at least mention if the hotel(s) you are featuring in your videos do have accessible ramps to the entrance, and pool area. 😀

I also recommend The Equus. Its a Boutique Hotel near Ala Moana, around the corner from Hilton Hawaiian Village. It cost me about $99 a night (and Ive seen it as low as $90 a night.) Self parking is free but first come, first served. You can also get valet parking for about $30 a night. You get a free welcome drink at the bar & the service & amenities are great, especially considering the price & location. Also wanted to mention that you can get a standard room at Hilton Hawaiian Village for $177 a night if you sign up for the Hilton honors program before you book. Hilton does add a resort fee to that though.

Just stayed there for a little over a week in the beginning of October. Great location. Up early and walked the beach every morning before starting our day. Able to walk to Waikiki or Ala Moana in 10 minutes. ABC store on the corner. Staff is great. Lincoln is great. The tiny bar is perfect. The room is basic. We left in the morning and came back in the evenings. Not use to paying for parking so that was a surprise. During the week there is parking but on the weekend we parked in the overflow area. A little inconvenient. All in all a nice little spot. They room is only cleaned once a week during our stay. Staffing covid or for whatever reason. They do supply towels and toiletries as needed.

Will be staying at the Aqua Aloha Surf Waikiki Hotel next week, first trip to Hawaii. We're from Oklahoma and had a minor earthquake last night. That prompted me to check to see how often Hawaii experiences quakes. I was surprised to see that there have been 8 in the last two days that were around 3 on the scale. Is it due to volcanic activity?
@Livingtheglobe Жыл бұрын
Some earthquakes in Hawaii are related to volcanic activity, while others are due to the settling of the Earth’s crust. It is important to note that not all earthquakes in Hawaii are related to volcanic activity. It is always a good idea to stay informed about current events and potential hazards while traveling. I hope you have a great trip to Hawaii!

Majority of the hotels you featured on your video are NOT really budget friendly due to the fact that they charge people arm and a leg for the resort fee, wifi fee and parking.
