the greatest open secret eating place in waikiki. as a local, i normally stay away from going into waikiki except for eating here. this is a place that visitors can easily taste many of the local favorites affordably, and you get your money's worth with the signature spectacular view! that main entree plate portion would easily cost you $20+ at any non-descript island plate lunch place; the poke bowls at my favorite Foodland supermarket cost $10.99 for their one choice premium poke with rice or $13.99 for their two choice premium poke with rice [the poke on the rice is 1/3-lb. serving]. you made me ono for this buffet Tim! great video, mahalo for sharing! Hi sweet Tim ! Your videos as always, make my tummy rumble ! Thank you for this wonderful and appetizing video of Dukes lunch buffet. The first time I went to Dukes was when I was a teenager of 16 on our family's first trip to the Hawaiian Islands - are you ready ? In 1971 you were not even born yet LOL !!! It was then and it is today, one of the best eateries on Waikiki Beach - and their friendly service seals it ! May I ask you a question ?: I have not tried poke yet. What one poke dish shall I first try ? I love all the condiments for sure, but not sure of the seafood of choice for the novice. Note: I do love all Hawaiian caught fish such as ono, opah, and what-not having it grilled. So with your kind expertise, I look forward to your recommendation. CHEERS and ALOHA and MAHALO !!! m.

Thank you so much and really ice to hear about Duke’s… I did not realize they have established in Waikiki for so long. I’m not too much of a poke connoisseur, and this may not be the best opinion, but I do like the poke with a bit of creamy sauce like the spicy poke wasabi mayo. Also talk with a little bit of crispy garlic on a bit of steam rice is quite nice.
