There is something very final about this.....reminds me of watching a ship go under....it is for eternity. And it hammers the message home.

@@secondaccount1363 oh yes absolutely. Alot of people think death is final It isn't. After we pass from this realm. We go on to another whole reality. Either a reality in Hell with eternal punishment and damnation with continual pain and suffering. And total separation from God. Or being in Heaven and in Gods presence for all eternity. Think about it where would you want to end up? The good place or the bad place. The really cool thing is the one way to get to Heaven is the acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and savior. ACCEPT JESUS CHRIST AS SAVIOR AND YOU WILL BE SAVED. Because the sins you have done past present and future have already forgiven by by Jesus Christ dying on the cross for our sins. God the father came down to Earth in form of a man. His name is Jesus Christ. He was crucified on a cross he died he was buried in a tomb for three days and was resurrected. He's as Alive as you and I are. It's up to you. Where you spend eternity. With God in Heaven or the other place. Satan in Hell. It's all up to you my friend.

My son died when he was 18 months old. We had an open casket viewing. We closed the casket ourselves My husband and I rode with the casket to the cemetery the casket was not locked. My husband wanted to see the baby one more time so we opened the casket and said a prayer. My husband carried the tiny casket to the grave site. This is what he had to do to begin the grieving process for him. Many probably will say it was crazy but it was the way we just felt we needed to do. 😢

FreedomFighter 2017 the most disrespectful thing a person can do and rob the kids of a place to visit and remember the love they shared. I could never disrespect a loved ones body in such a brutal way. I know it’s just the body, but it is the body of one I loved dearly.

@@mangopog9814 if that is what the person wants. If it is done with dignity and respectfully what's wrong with it. I want to be cremated and have my cremains spread over the railroad tracks here in Red Wing minn. Because I have always been a guy that loves to hang down by the train station on my days off and watching trains all day. But that is my preference. Stay healthy and keep washing your hands. We will get through this together everyone.

Maggie Cox that’s what I’m planning. After they are through with my body it will come back to funeral home for cremation. I made my arrangements in 1996. I went cheap all the way. Now I won’t even need that. I had life insurance that I paid on for years only to find out I had been the victim of fraud. I lost $12,000. Out of my pocket...really ticked me off.

Why have some thought it OK to judge how this funeral went? It's not your loved one or your choice. Let them mourn his they choose and simply leave a kind comment. To this family my heart is sad for you. Hugs to all

@@ncredbird3998 it also angered me the comment from the guy who claims to be a funeral director about funeral homes wanting attention. Like the ones with the deceased on motorcycle and standing up. If he was a true funeral director, he would have listened to the story about how it's what the family and the deceased asked for. And the funerals with the stepping and dancing......different cultures do different things. It's their traditions. And closing the casket at the end of the funeral is giving the family closure and the last chance to say goodbye. Most funerals I've seen, everyone goes by the casket one last time before it's closed. I absolutely love how in some countries everyone stands in respect as the casket is carried in. We don't even have the right to criticize the people who keep the dead in their homes for years, and even feed them. Its what they were taught. I was curious, it said there were 7 who died here. Was that the case?
@ncredbird3998

@@guardiansanimalrescuestate7289 I completely agree with you. Each culture has their beliefs as do each family. Religion, culture all play a part in how they mourne their deceased. I have the up most respect for those that honor the deceased wishes on how their own funeral or burial goes even if it isn't something they agree with. Honor of the deceased is what it's about, their life, their most treasured likes brought into the funeral to show who they were in life. Nobody should judge that right of passage. It isn't there funeral. I'm half Cherokee and I can say our ways may not coincide with others ways but it's how things have been done for generations and it also is different than my Irish half. It's about honor and love and it's sad people can't leave it at that without being rude and insensitive. Yes I believe seven involved with this but each service was done seperately I think. Not totally sure so don't hold me to those facts.

Do u own a funeral home, if not, shut the fuck up. Ive worked @ different funeral homes for 48 years & every funeral home does procedures the same. Back in the day, the viewing was always @ the end of the service, now, unless the family request differently, the viewing is @ the beginning of the service. When I first started, all services was held on a Sunday, unless it was scheduled for a week day. Now, its all about the funeral home, carrying the casket on the shoulders of the pall bearers, dancing w/the casket on their shoulders, director & staff singing from the back of the church/funeral home, having a wall blanket w/the deceased picture enblazoned on it, given to the closest relative. Different little trinkets/Bible given to the family. Name of the deceased emblazoned on a beautiful metal attached to the casket. A removable insert in the lid w/the deceased name/picture & year of the deceased birthyear & the year they demised. Some caskets have the branch of service painted on it. Ive seen the deceased favorite school/ university's colors spray painted on the casket, they even have the deceased's casket shaped like his/her treasured possession, (cars, boats & etc), having the deceased standing on the wall of the funeral home, or even having the deceased on a motorcycle, or sitting @ the dining room table, so many variables that the attention is on the funeral director, no concernment to the family or the deceased & those prices are totally unacceptable. Ive retired from the funeral industry, but before I left the scene, I heard that some establishments anywhere from 10k-20k, & everyone want to know why so many families has switched over to cremation, because it less expensive & its over & done w/in a matter of days. Some of these so- called morticians dont care if the families live/eat, survive, as long as they get their money, until the next member of the family demise, & they expect u to call them to serve the family. Bastards!
