@@royalmilotic it was a smaller performance consisting solely of first chair violinists and a pianist, but it was so rad to listen to live and we all got to look at and practice the music score. Really fun experience

btw this song is actually called "la Folia", the componist is corelli and it was written in the 17th or 18th century. It's pretty well known so I'm surprised there's like not a single comment about that and everybody thinks it's actually an original piece, while it actually is not

I actually did a bit of digging, and turns out all of Ib's songs are slightly altered versions of songs in the public domain! Honestly I think that fits well with the museum theme, it's pieces of existing art, they're only altered slightly by the horror aspect, which also fits the theme of Ib. Either unintentional, or really clever musical decision and I'm loving it either way.

Every time I go to the art gallery (it's my favourite place), this is playing in my head and I feel so reminiscent... The first time I heard this music piece was on Ib's soundtrack. Didn't knew that it was an adaptation from Vivaldi's La Follia. The core concept is still there, nicely pulled off with fewer instruments. Check the Vivaldi's version, it seems that it has some interesting background story.

You and many others here have a twisted view of things. He's not holding them like lovers. He's holding them like a father / mother would. And he's gay. He speaks feminine language in Japan, and... hell, even young girls don't talk that way. Only 35+ year old women and gay men. It comes through a bit in one translation line "Why do I talk like a girl? Well..."

Speaking with a feminine language means nothing of his sexual orientation. It might just mean he's willing to go beyond the usual definitions of gender. Besides, he's only ever seen talking to two kids in this game, and says he'd rather be gentle. Don't you think it might also be exaggerated by him wanting to be motherly and protective to people he wants to shelter from danger ? There's no indication that Garry's gay. Or a lolicon. Or anything at all. Because that is no relevance to anything.

A Lolita Complex refers to someone who views pubescent girls as sexually viable partners. It comes from the old controversial classic novel "Lolita" about a delusional man who fell in love with a teen girl. Ib and Mary aren't pubescent, and there's nothing in the story or even really this (fanmade?) picture to suggest that's the case. "Liking" kids in a platonic way is not pedophilia or lolicon.
