I just came oupon this while researching Gander and 9/11. This is an amazing video. Perfectly nuanced and incredibly professional while still feeling like a family home video. This channel is going far!

Love the professionalism of the video production technics here. The transitions between Google earth views and drone footage, between trail view and drone view, and between past and present - very instructive and interesting.

I’m really enjoying your video; like others, this is the best video I’ve seen of Newfoundland! I’m planning a road trip with small trailers for four fit 65 yr old couples for 2025 and taking note of your stops for planning our month long trip. Thank you and wishing you the best in your future camper-van adventures!

Just got this Newfie's seal of approval 🍻 ..even the goin back on the Argentia ferry thing was beautiful. That was THE play. Screw that 9hr drive to a boat lol.

Thank you 😊 Yes we were so glad to not have to drive back to Port-aux-basques. Even though the ferry trip from Placentia was 16 long hours on a rough patch of water

Newfoundland is a jewel in Canada’s crown. Where a few kilometres changes mountains to barrens, ponds to ocean, sandy beaches to sky scraping cliffs. And you get to kiss a cod if you’re lucky.

I need to comment since you went to Salvage.... I've only been there once {although I have lived in Newfoundland most of my life). Its a very small town but my great-grandfather lived there. When I was 9, my dad brought me there to meet his grandfather. I remember that the place was little and my great grandfather was giant (6'9'). Its one of my predominant memories from my childhood. Thanks for bringing back an old memory! I hope you enjoyed our province!

As a Newfie, I can tell you that as us locals treat every space that can fit your vehicle along the side of a highway, as a free space. As long as it doesn't seem to be an obvious "turn around" spot, you're generally good to park there with zero repercussions. We actually have traditions of camping "up on da highway in da gravel pits" so if you do it, you'll actually be blending right in lol. Look up "the pits - buddy wasisname and the other fellers" on here for proof beyond my words. Enjoy that trip señor! 😎

@@apparentlynot1stLeonchubbs Thanks Bye. I gathered that from working on the west coast a number of years ago. This time will be pure vacation, and the first time my wife will be on the Rock. Gonna have to get her screeched in.

I’m thinking about if I should carry a inflatable boat with my RV to Newfoundland ? Is there any public boats launch available? Thanks? Boats launch friendly for tourists?

Dildo, I visited the town 15 years ago and while talking to a local I asked where they came up with that odd name, he responded that it was his grandfather’s surname and that he donated the land for the the provincial park named in honour of him. Maybe he was pulling my leg but seemed quite serious.
