Thank you all for an amazing off the path tangents, but with direction, the thought provoking elements to your discussion with Mr. Patton. My neurocortext was re-wired subsequently following the experience of this video... I am not yet sure as a clinician myself, whether I have gone from better to worse or better to better! Regardless of my predicament, I praise you, fine gentlemen, with great respect, admiration, and love.

I was not aware of the Mandela Effect prior to this discussion. It draws to mind the Stanley Milgram Studies during his professorship at Yale, experimenting on the willingness of human beings becoming obedient and complacent under authority figures. This effect also recalls the Zimbarbo Prison Study at Stanford... Both studies were seminal in opening up our awareness to some shady inate characteristics we all posess...
@IronPsyde4 ай бұрын
I don’t see the connection between those two studies and the Mandela effect. The Mandela effect has the do with string theory and simulation theory. Suggesting that something in our current reality has been tweaked. What would the willingness to follow an authority figure have to do with that?

The outtakes at the end of Private Parts had me convinced that Paul Giamatti was really pissed off. So, it's really weird, hearing him joke about people being fooled by actors in real life. LOL.

@@crossbro9911 thanks - I think what threw me off was the old clip being on WNBC - someone else mentioned this a long time ago and I tried back then to find info but there’s not really much out there as far as recordings from that timeframe - I thought I knew the show fairly well, but here’s an example of a hole in my knowledge - cheers even if this particular ME isn’t an actual change, I know of dozens if not hundreds that have yet to be refuted
Giamatti died after The Rhino role. Yes, I remember that Hoffman guy died as well.

My idea about the Mandela effect is that we keep blowing ourselves up, so the aliens have to keep rolling time backwards to save us and so we wind up in a slightly different time line.

I'm surprised, being that Patton Oswalt is a super nerd, that he did not mention the celebrated _Star Trek_ (mis)quote, "Beam me up, Scotty."

@@crossbro9911 you don't need to be a doctor to know where your parts are! I know what I've learned and what I read and studied. You don't need to be a history professor to learn about history. And yes there are doctors who said clearly, what they've learned in medical School has changed. Even if stavely is a ac artist, he didn't teach me everything I've learned in life, he's pointing out things that are different from what we all have known. We all remember twinkle twinkle little star from memory. If the words in that song are all different (and always been) from what we ALL know it to be, you would have to be crazy to not notice.

About what Paul said at the end, that his mind goes to wonder if something that he is seeing is real or fake. It’s kinda sad for me that my 6yo asks very often if something is real or fake, but at the same time I like that he is interested in knowing. And yeah… it’s just too much too fast! 😣

Some of us that are familiar with The Mandela Effect, don't really ask a question in the way you are, we did in the beginning, but we have thought about the possibility that we are unintentionally creating false memories. Without researching the mandela effects I will reference, simply respond with what you think the answer actually is, then look up the true answer after you have answered. Where is the heart located in the human body? Where are the kidneys located in the human body? What is the name of the island the Statue of Liberty is on, and what is the state it is located in? Where is New Zealand located in relation to Autralia? What type of color is Chartreuse on the color wheel (blue, green, orange, purple, red, yellow, etc.)? [Labeled in alphabetical order so not be leading] I gave basic questions without being leading, that anyone with a middle school education should be able to answer. These are not some pop culture things, and should be relitively easy to answer without references. Again, answer first, then lookup what it is. Please reply here or with a video response linked here. I love all of you guys! Some of the possible explanations for the mandela effect have been linked to the bible, being in reference to us being in the end of days, and some sort of code for the chosen to understand. Others have made dumb explanations of black holes produced from the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, or the end of the world "actually happened" in 2012, etc. My personal belief is that it simply is not really something I can explain, and don't have any evidence to support any claims, so I'm just trying to understand it. I remember before it was termed "The Mandela Effect" it was called the "Berenstein Phenomenon" and before that, it didn't have a name or term associated with it (not even false memories). I wish I could link some old youtube videos from 2008 and 2009, but they were all taken down during the disinformation purge. It was much easier to tell when someone made a photoshop of something during that time, unlike now with AI splicing and deep fakes being prevalent. I would really like to get your take on this stuff, after your review of my questions and other information, since yes, a lot of the things are based in pop culture. It's a rather fascinating topic, regardless of what anyone believes is going on. Take care my friends, and have a great day.
