Would be fun to see a short video of this beautiful old time boat so we could hear her run and watch how she glides through the water. You did a nice job at saving her from the scrap pile to have a new life ! Thank you for sharing with us ......I am familiar with your Gulf Mariner boat also, another great boat.

Yes thanks, I’ve had several boats in my life and this is one that I wish I still had. It would have been much easier to build a more boat than restore this one but it did turn out nicely. The best part was the engine though. It had a wonderful sound whether at its 50 RPM idle or flat out at 1500 RPM. It was a pleasure to start cranking the engine until the oil pressure came up and them flipping the decompression lever. It always fired right up and never fluctuated or skipped a beat until I shut it down. It was made to last forever. My brother has video starting the engine and of the boat underway somewhere. I hope to get it and post it one day. This boat was like a little tugboat, such fun.

Thanks. You know it’s been raining here when I make a video like this.

Hi Llew! That is outstanding, as usual. Very nice restoration. Are you still using the boat in your new location? Sure how the border opens up soon so I can get up there this summer. Cheers!

Hi Gary, it’s great to hear from you. This is a boat that I had years ago. I’m still using Gulf Mariner very often. Hopefully you’re getting out too.

You sell your big boat the Gulf Mariner?
@topfunguy22813 жыл бұрын
Oh, no. I still have Gulf Mariner and should for years to come. This is a boat that I had years ago and thought that people might like to see what I did with it.

@@topfunguy2281 actually I was doing an internet search for your type of boat. I came across a website that had your boat for sale but was clearly marked as sold. I always thought people changed the name of the boats when they bought them. Hence my question.

@@tomkeating65 it’s funny that they still have the ad up for my boat after so many years. I never changed the name because I didn’t mind it. If it was a goofy name I wouldn’t have hesitated to change it even though it’s supposed to be bad luck. I’d take my chances.
