I love the idea of scrapbook paper as flooring,real carpet is just too much! I have been successful using very small braided coasters as area rugs and once I found a computer mouse pad at a thrift shop that looked like a very realistic,vintage Oriental rug,it even had a velvet texture.(maybe some velvets would work.) My friend did something awesome with her dollhouse,she cut a hole at the back of her fireplace and lined a chimney up the outside with stainless steel.( or maybe it was just aluminum foil?) She bought a box of balsam incense cones and when she lit one and blew it out and sat it in the fireplace,wonderful smelling smoke would come out of the top of the chimney. She never left it unattended but it was safe and beyond adorable!🥰🔥

That leather finish felt gave me so many ideas! One of my favorite details in your Christmas Cottage has to me the board full of Christmas cards 😍 The turn table is amazing as well, especially if (like me) you don’t have a lot of space to work in.
