The red corkscrew anthurium that is "easy" to find is Anthurium scherzerianum and I think it's totally underrated.

I got myself a papilliaminum...a few one true and two that are crossed . I also got a Gigi she is gorgeous. I love my matallicum its fairly easy going . I recently got a philodendron luxurians it's only a one leaf but she is working on a new leaf I can't wait . My Florida beauty is still young but as easy as the ghost I love them both . I am definitely not a hoya girl I don't one even one , no desire to either lol. I love my blue oil iv had him for years now he is one of the coolest . If you like the blue oil fern you should look at a Elaphoglossum metallicum ,it has the same blue oil sheen . Love your choices for your list . ❤

Do love knowing wish list plants of others, am sure you will be able to cross a few of those off in the next year. Couple of the ones you mentioned, especially the Hoya I would love but will have to wait. Personally been on a bit of a spending spree lately, don’t ask lol. Got a little Papillilaminum which has not skipped a beat and is already giving me a new leaf, a small luxurian x nigrolaminum which arrived at the same time and noticed yesterday she has also got a new leaf coming. I’m so excited for them both to see how they grow! Have ordered a Wenlingerii which should be arriving early October along with several other plants, like you I have NO self control when buying plants, thankfully winter coming so not getting any in the colder weather, will just concentrate on the ones I have, and hopefully not kill them 🤪💚😁

Hey Memo, very nice list of plants, I am so very fortunate to have picked up papillilaminum, Gigi and metallicum this year! All of them exceeded my expectation! The metallicum I unboxed with you is pushing out a stunning new leaf! For the papililaminum, there soo many cultivar to get, and they are still pretty expensive. I also got a few sprouted NSE Wendlingeri, I hope I am skilled enough to get them grow well haha. I think the pig tail anthurium flower you are thinking of is from Anthurium scherzerianum, the spandex of the flower is bright red and very curved. Very interesting plant, but not very easy to find. The pedatoradiatum is soo stunning! If you like it and the pedatum, you might like A. podophyllum too. I think podophyllum has a lot of potential, I wish more people know about it.

Aloha Memo, Yes Monstera Burle Marx is on my short Longgg term Wish List. (Until the price comes down). BUT, a must have 2024 Wish List plant suggestion: ***Philodendron Esmeralda SP***. The nigrolaminum gigi is super easy, very much like the Anth. Arrow. Highly recommend. The leaves are quite dark with a bluish metallic sheen to them, not quite as thick as the Arrow's leaves, and not fuzzy. As for the Hoya undulata, there are difficult Hoyas and then there are extremely difficult Hoyas; Hoya undulata falls into the latter 😬😬To grow successfully you would need to give it high humidity and temps above 24 deg. C day and night, not too much light, water when almost totally dry, then cross your fingers 🤣🤣But then if you like a challenge.....

@@HouseplantygoodnessI grow my Undulata in 35% humidity ish, north of the arctic circle so not very high temperatures and i grow it in pon. I water it when i see the top layer of pon is dry. It also sits about a meter below a grow light. No issues whatsoever, but a bit of a slow grower.

Interesting list. Love the long leaves as well. I’m still staying away from anthurium (for space) and lucky to have some alocasia that fill some of those vibes. So far, I agree BMF is pretty slow grower, BUT I’d say in the same way as a Thai con or even Esqueleto is in my experience. They kind of chill for a while and at some point, catch their stride and explode. My Esqueleto cutting did near nothing for almost 6 months, popped a few leaves, now this summer rivals golden pothos and throwing some monsters. My BMF was a tiny start. It’s now doubled in overall size, with leaf size increasing exponentially. I up potted it a couple weeks ago and hope for some lobster claws by summers end. 🤞🏽I actually enjoy some slower growth plants. Makes a rewarding journey. Wish list….I’m all in on a Blue Oil fern. Love the look! Checked off my list.. I got a B. Ferox. Trying to grow in normal house conditions. P. Tortum has entered the building, for the palm vibes. Look forward to your roast!

I am more of an Anthurium person- but I do have Philodendrons that I love. One of them is the Philo luxurians. Another videographer on KZbin (PlantFriendDownTheStreet) has said that it will grow great during the summer and plummet in the winter- no matter how much humidity or care it is given. I really hope not- because I love mine. It did not transport well. There was a delay by USPS and the leaves did badly. Fortunately, a new leaf grew well about a month after rehabbing in my 65-70% humidity tent with a low lamp for 12 hours a day. It is now sending out a new leaf again- about 3 months after I received it. It has a Philo's dream environment, so I'm guessing it doesn't grow rapidly. The leaves are beautiful. I did purchase a large one initially so hopefully it will survive the winter.

Great list! Thank you for sharing. I had a ride with the p. Luxurians. I got a small plant well rooted in moss from the FL equagenera. It took off, repotted it in a chunky mix, in a tera cotta rectangular planter. It did well, not a fast grower but every couple months a new leaf. It never rooted into the soil like other crawlers for me. I would recommend maybe a moss top dressing? Long story short it went dormant over winter. I repotted in spring and it completely died back and rotted. Now I have a large wet sick I am trying to reroot in water. Beware repotting and dry rot. I think it wanted more frequent watering, maybe treat it like a crawling anthurium if that makes sense. Good luck! It is a stunning plant when it’s happy.

Loved this. 😅 you pushed me over the edge to buy one of the anthuriums I was on the fence about. For Philodendron Luxurians, the key for me (in the UK) has been medium to lower light and not letting it dry out. Self-watering planter and pon have so far been the easiest way to maintain a consistent situation for them. They are really beautiful plants. Good luck with your wishlist plants 👌🏾🤞🏾

Your intros are great. Totally with you on the velvet leaves- I love them but they’re so problematic. Anthurium longissimilobum is amazing. So easy care and so dramatic. The Monstera Burle Marx Flame is growing quickly for me in LECA with ideal water and maximum nutrients and 12 hours next to a strongish grow light. Monstera subpinnata looks so nice in pics but mine never really grew well. Eventually I found spider mites on it was was like… I’ll treat you but once you’re healthy again, you have go. And lastly, your plants in the background look so incredible.

Hi Memo! I am also intrigued by the palm-like plants in this list, but I told myself I won't get more plants until I can part ways with some in my collection. I have two of the plants in your list -- the Philodendron luxurians, and the Monstera Burle Marx Flame. The luxurians has been such a pain. I got it from Tropicals Plants (Ecuador) early in the year (Feb?) and has been struggling ever since. It does have two leaves now, but is in no shape to be displayed (it is currently in a rehab tent). The Burle Marx Flame however is one of my pride and joy. Slower growth (about a leaf a month), but very consistent and predictable with giving new leaves! I started with a two leaf mid-cut, with a leaf as big as my thumb, back in January. It now has seven new leaves, with the latest leaf having two slits (fenestrations? pinnations?), and a new leaf on the way! I am more than happy to recommend that plant to other people. I hope you get one soon, and I look forward to seeing how it grows in your conservatory!
