It is a great pity the royals were so jealous of Diana's popularity that instead of utilizing her good will to their benefit they tried to stifle and lie about it! How stupid is that? Diana worked hard for the family firm and provided them with two potential heirs, yet, they treated her as though she were just a disposable breeding cow. I lay the blame for that squarely at Charles' feet...Charles who carried on an affair with Camilla, who was then married to Andrew Parker Bowles. All the crown wanted was an "heir and a spare", but Charles wouldn't give up two-timing with Camilla for his beautiful, charismatic, popular loving wife and mother of his two sons is proof that Charles is too selfish to lay down his life for the crown. I watched, but did not celebrate, King Charles' coronation. If he loved Camilla so much why didn't he marry her *before* she married Andrew Parker Bowles? In the end they got each other, but Charles' heir is not Camilla's offspring. What a tangled web! I just hope KIng Charles can manage the Monarchy better than he can manage his private life!

She was 18 years old when all this madness started. Charles was in his 30’s. It seems an enormous amount of energy, manipulation, control, and planing went into controlling one young woman. she was so charming that Charles was jealous of her. It’s no wonder that he wanted someone as plain and unpopular as Queen Camilla, she doesn’t cast any shade on the King.
