The thing is that there a great difference between the way native speakers speak on KZbin or a teacher in a class, and the way English is spoken in real life and in movies.
@cleberandrade6 ай бұрын
That's why I stopped searching for English teachers on KZbin after years stucked on "classroom fluency". Now I try to focus on native people showing their everyday lives or at least not trying to teach English, just discussing whatever that doesn't include grammar or the language itself.
@RemarkablePerson5 ай бұрын
@@cleberandradeyes, because the teachers on youtube are teaching us and sure they speak clearly. If we want to improve furthermore, indeed we have to watch like vlog or podcast content. But still we need a teacher to fix our grammar and so on.

Hi Jennifer! Thanks! Synonyms that come to my mind, meaning the same as "I'm tired": I'm exhausted, I'm worn out. In general, I understand rather well American English and British English dialects and up to a point Australian English. By contrast, Indian and Scottish English dialects and some foreigners' English-speaking accents are often difficult to understand. I like a lot how you play with words (puns), many times they're quite witty! For example: what did the grape say when it got crushed? Nothing, it just let out a little wine. Your joke (pun) was quite funny, too! I got it. Some words are pronounced so similarly, that you can make some hilarious puns out of them. Synonyms that come to mind that means the same as "That test was a piece of cake": that test was a walk in the park, that test was as easy as ABC, that test was child's play, that test was easy peasy, that test was as easy as one-two-three. Other examples: spot on, you hit the nail on the head! You can say that again! I'm going to move to Antarctica when pigs fly! I watched this lesson without subtitles (CC). All in all, I ticked most of these boxes, but I still need to work on some areas. All the best to you!

In my case I do love watching 90's English series and short videos about stand up because they tend to use random words even when the context is not related and I can use those words to learn vocabulary, new expressions and put a lot of attention 👌 I realized I was able to understand English when I watched one of your videos with no captions at all and I was like, OMG this is unbelievable.

I watched this video on 1.75x playback speed without closed captions. I understood it 100%. I think this is a good sign of fluency. I know you’re talking very clearly and slow, using a simple vocabulary, even on higher speed is very understandable, but I’m still able to understand people when they speak in the “normal” way. My listening skills are pretty good nowadays, my biggest problem is on speaking tbh. I can communicate but sometimes it is hard to express myself the same way I can do it in my first language

And in addition I can boast of myself that forget the simplest words talking with neitive speakers, not mentioning the way I'm writing(it's a real disaster). @@devashikajayamanna2255 hello. Not rude at all. I see what you mean and I agree. In my native language and other languages I speak, "tired" can mean also "fed up". But you have to specify why you are "fed up". Same is in English Imo. If I'm fed up of working too much, doesn't mean I'm phisically tired. It means I don't like the fact that I have to work so much. Fed up, methink, comes froom feed: if you are fed up, you can't stand more of that specific food.
