I'm surprised the tie down rail on the tray didn't get bent. Leave the hi-lift at home, they're useless and dangerous, nothing that a regular bottle jack couldn't have handled

Good morning guys from across the ditch here in Nz. I've just discovered your channel, and hope you're still cruising. Bloody brilliant. Top marks to you. Love to do some exploring up the top end one day. But a little virus is getting in the way. Hi Bryan, Glad to have you with us mate! I know right.. I hope the little virus buggers off soon. As far as I'm aware I don't think you'd be able to take a hire car up to the tip. Purely to the fact of the road conditions and that. I would suggest buy something cheap but reliable, drive it and sell it on after your finished the trip. Landcruisers have good resale over here so you shouldn't have a drama. Stay tuned for a our next video, we show we set up a car on a cheap budget to travel.
