Het zegt toch wel heel veel over de Duitse kwaliteit om deze minimaal 78 jarige Stug 311 nog zo soepel te zien rondrijden. De Maybach HL120 TRM V12 dieselmotor moet een genot zijn om te horen al zal de motor waarschijnlijk wel één keer of meerdere keren gereviseerd zijn. In de huidige Leopard 2 ligt een MTU MB 873 Ka-501 lV12 twin-turbo dieselmotor waarvan gezegd wordt dat het een afgeleide versie is van de eerder genoemde Maybach motor. MTU in Friedrichshafen is overigens opgericht door vader en zoon Wilhelm en Karl Maybach in 1909 en is na de oorlog geheel herbouwd.

Maybach has indeed very good quality of engines. Here it still has the original petrol 😉 gasoline Maybach engine. The Germans didn’t use much diesel engines. It's not that hard to put the correct tool clamp on the rear for the starter crank. I have it correct on my office wall in Wisconsin. Surely that's not asking for the moon?

Doesn’t sound much as a positive reaction. But let’s say, that’s just because it was written and not in person. If you check the other videos, you will notice that this one is very original and super complete, also inside (see Stuglife😉).
