I noticed something different for the SAS plane at the front wheel down towards the rears sides around 3:52 in he video, looks like the era chocks were left in place? I am not sure if I have seen anything like that before designed to look like a spoiler but to the base & rear of the nose wheels. Any ideas what that is please? Harry After the cargo door issue was fixed, the DC-10 had the engine loss @ ORD on the American and the Hydraulic issue when the GE engine blew over Iowa... both of these crashes led to improvements on ALL aircraft. Afterwards, the DC-10 was a remarkably safe aircraft. The MD-11 was designed with a small tail for fuel efficiency but unknowingly created a danger when landing. Now they land faster but still have the same tail. The DC-10 is a MUCH safer plane than the MD-11... but the MD-11's are much newer & fuel efficient... and fantastic load workhorses. I love them both...
