Training game is like playing an opponent "from position". Which means hammering QGD over and over all day long and seeing what is produced.

Tactically over the whole board (not just the king) i think Kasparov was the greatest of all time. He has various games with tactics that even modern stockfish took time to see and appraicfte

Isn't Fischer the weakest one just by the fact that he never defended his crown?

what do you mean? he's still world champion

That's one argument, but his annihilation of the competition leading up to the world championship has never been seen before or since, he was ridiculously dominant which makes him one of the top 3 ever.

Late at night half dead atm.... interesting game but nothing special. I could be wrong since i'm dead tired. A rather long eventual smothering. For me, the game of the century is still that of between Byne and Fischer. I can't get my head around that one. Just worthy to rewatch again and again. And Byne was no slouch.

I didn't know that he became a word champion at the age 14. This is really incredible.

What? He became World Champion at age 21. At 14 he was a Russian champion for the ages under 18, I think. And he became World champion for players under 20 at the age of 17, in 1980.

You went through the entire game, then ? you say if the knight goes the position crumbles. Why did you not demonstrate the position crumbling after the knight went ? I see possibilities but I am not sure exactly how it "crumbles".
@chessdawg
@chessdawg 7 ай бұрын
You are right, I should have included that variation. Basically, when the knight is forced to move from c3, black just takes the bishop on e2 that the knight was defending. I apologize for not including that variation.
