These have crazy flowers, they produce a shoot that dives into the ground and that is what creates the peanut, he must've not had enough flowers or enough pollinated flowers to make more peanuts

Awesome video! Fun fact for today: did you know that peanuts (all plants actually) have a metabolic pathway called the glyoxylate cycle that allows them to convert fats (present in the seeds) into sugars that they need for growing. And even crazier, humans have the genes to be able to do this, but they are just not expressed and silenced by the body.

ya there's usually quite a few pods under there! they are fairly easy to grow and so delicious fresh , i eat them straight out of the garden : )

​@_umi_says corn will have several cobs on it too. depending on the strain it can get more or less cobs. and the peanuts will have alot of pods depending on their strain & growing conditions of course. growing it inside under a light it isnt surprising he only got one!

Peanuts grow outdoors in sunny hot conditions, like Georgia. Regardless of what grow light you use, it will never match the sun.

Hi Boxlapse. Love your videos and is very curious about how you make them. Things like what cam gear (do yo move one around or a gopro per plant), light (both for photo and growing.
