I am the lucky owner of one of the boards in this video. After you consider the quality of the materials, workmanship, and sheer artistry it’s a phenomenal bargain. This is not simply a cutting board, it’s a statement, equal parts functionality and art. My board will live on our kitchen island, for all to enjoy, and never put away. Btw, pictures don’t remotely do justice to Ryan’s work.

For scraping glue, I use a pull-type paint scraper. They are cheap and effective. Blades have four sides and can easily be resharpened. This tool works well with dried glue. Think of it as a much stronger card scraper. Mine can even remove whisper-thin shavings.

Alot of negative feedback and also REALLY REALLY POSSITIVE feedback... stick to thoughs ones bud💯 You have come so far in you workshop and love your workmanship... You have inspired me along with other brilliant woodworkers... But in the short time iv been a woodworking hobbyist iv come to realise that there will never be the right price for the workmenship put into each piece or project... But how satisfying is it when your in your work shop cleaned up no music ready to turn the light out and its just you and your finished project 💯🤙🍻 Keep being you mate... I watched this video a good 3-4 times. I have been wanting to make this board and I think I know how much wood you would need if you also want to try making this. Everything else he explains in the video so no need to go into it. Here’s what you need if you don’t want the walnut borders: 1. 4 - 7 foot maple boards (8 inches wide) 2. 2 - 7 foot cherry boards (8 inches wide) 3. 2 - 7 foot walnut boards (8 inches wide) This will allow you to build one board 3 inches thick.

Your cutting board is frickin' awesome to look at. I'm sure it's quite functional as well. I created a 2.5" thick x 24" wide x 24" wide woodcarving table top out of scrap wood, and everyone that has seen it still wonder why I made a table top so ..... well, elegant when it's simply a top that will over time become marred when carving a variety of wood projects. I don't know I tell them, but my scrap wood pile decreased in size. Ha! Ha! Ha! Anyway, thank you for presenting such a well thought-out project. I think I'll implement some of your techniques on my project.
