1400HP 6-speed Supra Beats EVERYONE - Wins $5000!

Reed from TRC Performance put on a heck of a show this year at world cup finals! (not to be confused with our That Racing Channel Supra). This car is supra impressive, making over 1400whp on stock main caps running Manley Performance internals! Reed told us he invested a majority of the project funds into the drivetrain(trans, rear end, axles, etc...) to help his chances in going rounds and not breaking. So he was limited on his budget for the engine. He runs a very basic engine combo using manley turbo tuff rods, cp pistons, stock mains, GE non turbo head, gsc s2 cams, and a precision 7685 gen 2. DeCode Er Hell no. The Aero dynamics play a big part. Big fat Muscle car's are have alot of drag and unstabillity at high speeds it probably won't have spun out down the track. Still not the quickest supra either that goes to Ekanoo 5.7 sec 2jz

Lucky break? That's just how Supra's race... They slingshot people. They lack the torque that Camaro's have and they have boost lag off the line. Usually a Nitrous shot off the line helps spool, but it's still lacking in torque. If they're going to beat a V8 90% of the time it's by slingshotting by them.

Charles Consagra not in this case, the Camaro had him dead to rights, but couldn't transition all that power and grip to a decent launch. He was two cars ahead on a BAD launch. Luck for the Supra he didn't crash, and he let out when the nose came down.

And that’s what racing is about. Also what makes the 2JZ such a good motor. Only pistons, not a built motor and can make 1400. No other longblock in the world can make that kind of power and make that many top end pulls without letting go without rods, bearings, main caps and all the other billet stuff. Crazy. MostlyIrishCarGuy I do! It’s on my channel. Was a 2JZGTE on stock twins, Just put the motor back in with an S366 single turbo. Hope to have the fab work done by the weekend and drive it again. Shooting for around 400 wheel horsepower on around 6-7 psi.
