Thanks for posting this video. I just picked up a wild river birch and training it into bonsai. Birches are so similar to aspens, but the river birch has that distinctive yellow/brown and "flaky " bark. I collected my river birch from the Wisconsin River bank, and so far is growing ok.

So I bought a small bonsai tree it died pretty much right away... I'm looking to grow my own tree and I've alot of birches around me. Are they a easy tree to grow and prune? Any help is welcome and thank you

No, it's not. River birch have a very shaggy bark.
