Bonner, Montana, in Missoula County is at an elevation of about 3300 feet and the kind of space to be alone with your thoughts and the grace to be on horse back along side your canine. All that to be true, on the 97 degree heat today a bit of shade is a welcomed oasis. Thank you Leland for the visit. 👍

I have friends who are just visiting Big Sky country from the US southeast. Beautiful country. I see the tansy (those yellow button-like flowers) are doing well. They smell really nice & are great dried flowers for the house. Nice venue. Amphitheater style with lawn seats. Sorry it's so ghastly hot, though. I read that the eastern US is in for even more extreme heat. WTH have we done to the planet? Again, folks are going to be treated to a fine evening's music. Wish I could be there to enjoy it & the majestic setting. Keep well, travel safe. Thanks for another great mise en scène of the venue, Leland.

In the fall of 2016, Tim O’Leary, co-founder of KettleHouse Brewing Co, and Nick Checota, owner of the Top Hat Lounge, The Wilma, and Logjam Presents, were attending the same business lunch in Missoula to talk about tourism and its effect on the Montana economy. Nick mentioned that he was looking for an outdoor venue to hold concerts. At the next break, Tim, who was in the middle of putting the finishing touches on our new brewery in Bonner, MT, approached Nick and suggested that he come take a look at our spot on the Blackfoot River. A few days later, Nick came out to the site and a week later (this may be a slight exaggeration, but only slight), there were bulldozers and backhoes.

Thus began a collaboration between KettleHouse Brewing Co and KettleHouse Amphitheater - a state of the art, 4,000 capacity amphitheater on the banks of the Big Blackfoot River in Bonner, Montana. Outdoor concerts with a craft brewery a hundred feet away - does it get any better? Nick achieved the near impossible and broke ground in October 2016 and welcomed Lyle Lovett and His Large Band for the inaugural concert on July 13, 2017.

Another attempt.....Nestled along the The Blackfoot River near Bonner Montanta, just east of Missoula and located at 605 Cold Smoke Ave. Bonner-West Riverside Montgana, 59823 you will come upon the KettleHouse Amphitheater. The amphitheater is complemented with it's sleek intregration of wood paneling and mother nature's boulders making for a beautiful backdrop for up to 4,250 concertgoers to enjoy a uniuely Montana setting while enjoying top flight entertaiment. The Kettlehouse Amphiteater opened on July 20, 2017 with Lyle Lovett being the first entertainer to grace the KettleHouse Amphitheater stage. Lyle was followed by such artist including Alice Cooper, Nora Jones, Foreigner, The Flaming Lips, Bon Iver, Pixies and numerous others since that first concert. Suzy Rizza and Tim O'leary, the owners of KettleHouse Brewing Company lease the property to LogJam Presents.

Montana is small enough where a small local business could do for themselves and make their own entertainment and facility. “KettleHouse Brewing Company is a craft brewing company located in Missoula, Montana. Founded in 1995 by Tim O'Leary and Suzy Rizza, the company has grown from a single taproom to two taprooms in Missoula and a major production facility in Bonner, Montana on the Blackfoot River. In 2017, the company, in collaboration with Top Hat Entertainment, opened the KettleHouse Amphitheater near the new facility in Bonner…” wiki

@artemisXsidecross
@artemisXsidecross Жыл бұрын
I would think it is handled the same way transportation is done. Depending on the allocated expenses it could vary from an ‘old chevy van’ to a tour bus like Leland’s tour uses. A traveling Chef would be a great addition. The food being offered at the venues looks all the same even when prepared well. Some on the tour who limit or avoid animal products for medical or ethic reasons could certainly benefit from having a chef on tour.

I assume they must have put in some kind of serious drainage system because I could see the bottom of that amphitheater flooding rather quickly in a heavy rainstorm. The speaker cabinets at ground level should probably be lifted up by a foot or so! I've only driven through Montana and Wyoming in early November and so it was snowing, not raining, but I lived in Alberta Canada for a year and I've seen what the monsoon rains and hail storms and flash floods can be like.
