Jack Crafty: "I'm not going to make anymore big blades" Proceeds to knap a 9" Danish dagger. 😆 . Well done! Had me a little on edge with that thickness in the middle but you worked through that mess like a champ. 👍👍

It makes me feel better when I say I'm not going to make long blades. Then when I do, it makes me feel better because I'm being sneaky.😁

I watched it all. I could see you getting tired when you dropped the piece twice. The size of that piece made it the best pressure flaking video I’ve seen. That session was worth the work.

I have some of that same stone and I cant seem to make anything out of it not to mention I have no idea what it is, of course I just started flintknapping. I cant seem to get the hang of it. i can drive flakes but none of them are what you would call big enough to make anything seems like. There ether too thick or two thin or two small, it is nerve wracking. You make it look so easy. I have been trying to make something for almost a month now and have made nothing but gravel. I did almost have a good shaped point but snapped it in half. One end was really heavy and trying to remove it did it. I watch your videos everyday trying to learn how to knapp but idk maybe I need a new hobby. Love your vids sir take care.

They are very intuitive and not complicated. The only difficult thing is to make sure they don't snap in half... like everything else.

Got up and went to get a cup of coffee and started watching the video. I thought this is gonna be good. Long piece, big turtle back, not something I would do. I can see why this wasn't a yap knap video. Your strategy for making this is very informative and very skillful. You are without a doubt seriously skilled in the art. Don't have the words except to say very nice.👍

That's just as nice as the one Will Lord made. Nicer if you ask me. I think he used a glassy black flint. It might've been a grey spotted flint. I can't remember. Either way, I prefer the brown stone and it's gorgeous. Nice work.

What is the material? I'm not very knowable on the subject, but I'm trying to lean. I'm a many great Grandson of OTzi. There's less than thirty of us that carry his DNA. I've been making bows and arrows long before I ever knew that I was related to him. There must be some of that carbon left in my brain, somewhere, because I'm fascinated by all of this.
