I love that you made your own tool. I'm sure that's how all tools were invented in the first place, necessity . I made my first lock pick because I needed to get a car moved so I used a pair of tweezers split in half filed into the shape and within a half an hour I had the ignition lockout and move the car

I have a Land Rover Freelander with the factory bike rack that fits through the centre of the spare wheel on the tailgate. I bought this lock to fasten a bike on the rack to the spare wheel. In that application it’s probably as secure as it needs to be.

He said "Pretty Good" and that's about the best rating I have ever heard hime say for a chain lock. Still, the manufactures need to step it up and make them better. :)
@rogerhudson97325 жыл бұрын
With good bicycles costing 1000 - 2000 pounds we really need better than 'pretty good'.
@billsmith7565 жыл бұрын
Not really as an average set of croppers would go through the small chain in a few seconds
@wm9735 жыл бұрын
@@billsmith756 Your right there. On my motorcycle I used to take enough locks and chains to make them think about it and move on. But they weighted so much it would be impractical to carry on a bicycle. So where's the point of "pretty good" for a bicycle? I don't know. These guys are stealing everything not locked down in broad daylight. Well that makes it better to see them and my 9mm see's "pretty good" and doesn't weight a lot. :) The only thing to keeping everything safe is to secure it as best you can, keep it out of sight and have eyes(camera or yours) on it. Nothing will prevent someone from stealing your stuff if they are determined to do it. All you can do is make it as difficult as possible. Sorry for being so winded but I worked and paid for my stuff and I get frustrated at these guys stealing it.... or trying to:) WM
