Few points of detail from my experience flight testing the 146/RJ and working in the UK 146/RJ Full Flight Simulator. The TGT's at start-up peak much higher before settling down to ground idle. The noise of the mechanical digits scrolling on the engine gauges is very noticeable. The servo tab on the elevators have limit stops, that once reached, the control column will deflect the elevators. They aren't totally isolated from the servo tabs and control column inputs. Would also be nice to see the EFIS panel as an option.

super minor detail but... Your altimeter is counting in increments of 10. 10,20,30,40 etc. In real world, should be in increments of 20 (some were 50 on earlier 146s). So, should be 00, 20, 40, 60 etc. Sure looks great. Thanks for the proper attention to the TMS.

This looks excellent. I worry about any FMC after seeing the MSFS versions of an FMC. Hope you have a separately coded one! ;) I'd watch your pricing. The PMDG 737 is due out and rumour has it at £50 ish?? If you make it cheaper you will sell more!

I am not sure if a comment here are still being read after 3 weeks. However, is there an assignment for a key/button, to get the Flight Director to the 5 deg (or 10 deg) before take off? I noticed, before the explanation of the servos that drive the elevators and ailerons, at 2:31 of the video, the F/D is at zero degrees. However, when the aircraft is being taxied to the runway immediately after, at 2:54, the F/D is up at 10 deg. How was this achieved? It is not explained. Thanks!

The flight director can be set to 10 degrees nose up for takeoff by using the Pitch Up/Down switch on the centre console, located just above the Yaw Damper and Autopilot buttons. Thanks.

Are you able to save a flight (mid air) and load the same flight back again, at another time? This gives more time to study an aircraft. It is an invaluable feature. You can do this with the PMDG 737.

Am I missing something? You said a couple times you engage/disengage sync mode, but you don’t press the button on the TMS nor does it turn off as though you pressed a bind after the first time you turned it on?

He certainly assigned a button on his joystick, te idea of the Sync mode being that, while pressing, you can manually fly the plane, and when you release it, the autopilot will automatically stick to the new situation you put it in (like, if you're flying in Vertical Speed, let's say 1500fpm, you press the sync mode button, pitch down gently to get to 1.000fpm, when you release your autopilot will stick to the new 1.000fpm, the same for IAS, Pitch, etc...)

Note also that there are two sync modes available on the 146 - the TMS and autopilot. The autopilot sync mode can be toggled using a control assignment for quick and easy use, as pressing the yoke-mounted sync button is a bit fiddly.

Does anyone have a trick on the Honeycomb Bravo Quadrant to use the reverse detents as the fuel on off levers like the real plane? As far as I know it's part of the whole axis and not an assignable switch.

Set the throttle detent buttons on the Bravo to control "Toggle Fuel Valve" for each engine, and make sure it's set to "On Release" and not "On Press". Start cold and dark with your throttles in the reverse detent, then move out of the detent at 10% N2 during engine start.

Why the elevators are upper position when the plane is on the ground? Also when the flight begins in the air, the plane suddenly begins to stall. Elevators do not respond like other planes. Why?

Let us help you. The FMS is in there now, still being worked on but is there. The build you're seeing here is a week or more older and was used to capture all of the footage that you see in the tutorials. A separate video showing the FMS will be available to view prior to release.

This is an RJ85 and NOT a '146'. The 146 never had an FMC and was flown by using 'VOR's. This video has the wrong name.

Thanks for the comment. This is a 146, we'll be developing the RJ series after this releases. Aware the original 146's never had FMC's but some got retrofitted in later life and given the want of some of the community to see an FMC inside their 146 we're in the process of adding a working one currently. That will be included prior to release.

This is a 146. RJ's never had analogue flight instruments, they were all EFIS with electronic engine gauges. Many later 146's were fitted with options that were later made standard in the RJ's. I worked on the flight testing of the later 146's and RJ's. Also spent 3 years in the UK 146/RJ flight simulators, spending many hours changing panel configs between airlines in order to correctly represent their individual aircraft build options. One option I fitted and coded was for the steep approach mode for operators into London City.
