To me? as an "old school sim aviator" the best, most versatile, compleet and detailed aircraft in MSFS thanks to Just Flight coming up with this massive update. Thanks for this great indepth preview - and outstanding landing. I can't wait to update this beauty which has a permanent and prominant place in my hangar.

Standby gear indicator is aft of the central pedestal on the floor. From memory, you need to lift the flap on the floor to gain access to the indicator lights. I used to be a real world BAe146 pilot before moving on to the A320.

Why does the BAE 146 have four engines? Because there wasn't enough room on the wings for a fifth and a sixth engine.

4-engine aircraft: If you lose one engine, you still have three engines... If you lose another engine, you still have "two" engines. But .... "Two" engines aircraft ... If you lost "another" engine... ........

Actually the truth is that it was designed originally for two engines, but in trials they just weren't powerful enough, In the end they changed the design to four smaller engines which were absolutely brilliant and made the 146 and RJ's a successful regional aircraft. Sadly, high costs in maintenance were the main reason for its demise, although some countries like Canada do still fly them. Our late Queen Elizabeth had them in her Royal Fleet.

Great video. That was such an amazing airplane. Are used to refuel them back in the 1980s in Philadelphia. Probably the second coolest British airplane besides Concord.

I love this video! I had the original Just Flight version of the 146RJ series for FSX, and eventually bought the next version for 2020. The newest version for 2024 I haven't bought because I won't be changing from 2020., but I have to say my two most favourite aircraft are No1 the RJ Series, and No2 the Daher TBM930. I've long enjoyed the C130's (very similar to the 146's) and the 360 Shorts "Skyvan." I lived across the road from Shorts at the time the "Breadvan" (as we called it) was built - a very successful and popular little carrier. I'd love to ask 320 Sim Pilot if I could use clips from this video for some YT stuff I've been doing. I've just prepared a video on the startup and landing sequences for the 146 as a bit of fun for a friend, and almost ready for uploading it.Wonder how it will fare! Thanks 320 S P for this great insight - I learnt a few things from it!

I was due to fly on an Eastern Airways ATR from LGW to NQY in 2022, but at the last minute they had chartered a Jota Aviation BAE 146. Much comfier and roomier than the ATR! The charter company went under a few months later, taking what I believe was the last UK passenger operator of the 146 down with it.

Thanks for the good review, this is an amazing aircraft to fly. You probably know it, on the takeOff roll and T\O you could not hear the callouts because you Flight Deck Emergency LTS was Off, just under this GEN 4 switch.

53:12 why apologise for the sound quality? It sounds way more immersive when the ambient sound replicates the sort of levels in a real plane. One of my biggest gripes about sim instructional videos on YT is not being able to hear hardly anything except the voice of the simmer which just makes it feel so flat. You were loud and clear even with the ambient sound level up = more immersive.

Another great video, for another great JF module in MSFS2020. But I do have one question, if I may ask. How do you update the 147 Pro too V2, if you've bought it directly from Just Flight? Will it update automatically in-game when V2 is availible or not?

Always wondered, what view do you use to be able to free move round the cockpit? Trying to view the like of the A300 overhead proves a real challenge 😂 Have contemplated purchasing this aircraft for some different kind of ops, just recently purchased the A300 so will spend some time learning how use it before starting another project 😂

It looks like a really good addon, but I have very little patience for the kind of shenanigans addon developers tend to get up to, no matter how detailed the model otherwise is, so I'll ask if anyone knows. 1. I can see it supports the lock interaction system from the store page, that's good. I can't stand when planes neglect to support, oh you know, a little detail like the default controls. 2. Does it support MSFS flight plans? If I load a flight plan into the world map, will it be pre-loaded onto the FMS when I start? 2a. Does it support MSFS ATC, meaning can I ask ATC to clear me for the flight plan that is currently loaded in the FMS? Even if I make changes to that flight plan or input a new flight plan. 3. Does it support dynamic registration? I'm really well and truly past editing textures just to get a number I want. 4. Does it support the load and balancing window? Having some immersive way to load the plane is fine, but it must also work with these sliders imo. I uninstalled the A310 because of this. 5. I can see it supports navigraph data updates, but is it stuck with some super outdated version if you don't pay up? Having data mismatch between sim and plane could lead to issues, like ATC asking you to take an approach that doesn't exist in the old database, it should really use the included data from MS so that it matches. These are my pain points that have put me off buying any expensive addons, you can't charge 50-60 dollars and not have basic integration with the game features IMO.

Is it just me or does this plane's autopilot not work at all? I don't get the clutch disconnect button. It doesn't seem to do anything except disconnect the autopilot temporarily for no apparent reason. I adjust attitude and release it and it goes right back to where it was. I hate this effing aircraft. How archaic. Any vids I have watched on how to fly this doesn't seem to work for me. But nothing ever does. I've the worst luck with flight sims.

Most reviews categorize this add-on as study-level. However, the engine simulation is notably poor, with little attention given to realistic indications. For instance, the TGT rises linearly on startup, unlike the expected exponential increase. Even more concerning, engine oil temperature rapidly surpasses 100°C, outpacing TGT rise, which is unrealistic. Furthermore, engines can be started with the throttle fully open, disregarding engine limitations. Upon shutdown, residual TGT and oil temperatures are absent, and engines cool too quickly to ambient conditions. Given the price, these shortcomings are disappointing and unexpected. It's surprising that these issues haven't been widely reported.

BAe has onbe of the most ugly overhead.. that white switches are so terrible in visual design..
