In 1987 or 88 I bought a collection of morgon dollors at $10 bucks a piece, And there were 96 of them if I remember correctly. Paid just under a grand for them,and I need too pull them out and go through them and see if there's any of those 1884s in there. Good video on how too no the difference on a high relief and normal strike. Thanks

The Morgan dollars that were melted were not made into Peace dollars. That silver was sent to England. The Peace dollars were made from silver bought from the western mines mostly Nevada. Pittman was from Nevada.

Yep, saw that episode. Guy that brought the coin in won it in a poker game. Lucky find ! If I remember correctly Ricks coin appraiser guy said it could fetch north of 100 grand at the right auction.

The original design was to have had the Roman numeral MCMXXII on the empty space on the tiara and earring for the obverse. When the Roman numerals part of the die broke up, the earring was removed. The coins were subsequently destroyed because of how distraught the designer was over how the coins looked after.

I have a Morgan Dollar error coin and the error seems to impact one particular date. I believe it was a minting dye error as every coin struck on a silver planched has the exact same error where the tail feathers of the arrow bundle, one arrow quill is suposed off kilter andvit is not? One arrow shoud point downward through the arrow bundle but in the engraved dye, was the error of all the quills acheiving precise paralelle alignment while the point of the arrow faces down ward in the arrow bundle???

I’ve learned that it’s often hard to find problem free dollars as so many silver dollars have been cleaned and holed/plugged for jewelry pieces and sadly some have been whizzed too. I try to buy just problem free certified coins now but like I said it can be difficult to find them for a price I can afford especially the earlier draped bust variants not to even mention flowing hair dollars, those are for a bigger league than I can play in lol.

If you look at the line going up to the eagles chest between O and L on the reserve DOLLAR the high relief line is shorter the other ones go all the way up to the eagles chest

I am confused , so this vid should be about the 1922 high relief , but you presented two different years a 1921 ( high relief ) and a 1922 ( regular relief) so , for me to have a 1922 higher relief , I will need to have the characteristics of the 1921 like in this case correct??. Looking at your vid , you said that a high relief has shorter sun rays on the obverse , but in this case your 1921 seems worn out make them the sun rays shorter , and the sun ray on the “ N” that is longer on the high relief isn’t clear because I have a 1822 that meets some of this criteria but the sun rays are not shorter . There is another vid about 1922 high reliefs that seems more accurate , and described the hair strike to be sharper .

This is to the man on the mountain in this video my husband's 100% sure.... he's been collecting coins for me for atleast 33 years and the way we became the owner of this coin is very very rare, this high relief 1922 peace dollar that you're speaking of with Anthony francini's initials above the 1922 and you said Specific things about the sun burst in certain areas and the sun burst in the word ONE, WELL I'm 99% sure but my husband is 100% sure it's a rare high relief 1922 piece dollar I don't want people bugging us about this we haven't had it graded, I've had this from between1988 & 1990 and it's now march 3rd 2021 atleast 31 to 33 years, I can see and read every mark & number on this coin and the design on both sides I've kept it in a plastic bag cover in a pouch but I need to really 100% know if she's the real thing I trust my husband's judgement and when he told me and I watched your video and watched the pawn stars episode I was shaking to think it's the real deal we don't want to be harassed and we don't want media or anything like that if this is the real thing we are looking to sale this coin but like I said we haven't had it authenticated or graded and wouldnt know where to start but on your video you had mentioned you are interested in finding one, but if this is really what you said then it's gonna be worth a pretty penny so if you can get ahold of me by sending a text to [e-mail] then from there if you wanna talk I'll give you our number once you prove to us it's you getting ahold of us I'm sorry if this sounds strange but we are worried about alot of bad that could happen if someone found us and if this is a real coin 1922 piece dollar thank you Rick and Karen from Oregon

Why is the face of your Peace Dollar printed backward? With the face being the right side instead of the Left Side? Thats when you held up the coin in your right hand you said you got off Facebook and we the viewer see the face of Liberty facing you? Even the “IN GOD WE TRVST” is in reverse from left to right?
