It is nice listening to the wind and rain hitting the boat. The only down side is I am a very light sleeper so didn't sleep at all.

It was fun to watch you getting the wood with help from the kitties. By the way, in the US we call that a wagon. I used to have a red one just like yours. Very handy. Wow, that towpath was treacherous. Looked like the mud swallowed Diane's foot. Thanks for posting the video of the storm winds, really amazing. Glad you made it through. Stay safe and well.

I can not imagine boating in those high winds. Bless you boaters. Thankful no trees fell on you. And, oh those tow paths. Yikes! Nice you got to collect some wood…stay warm! Looks like a good hearty soup or stew kind of time…I love to have something like that going on our snow days, with a bit of biscuits or loaf of simple bread to go with. We like raw veggies to nibble on, too. Easy and healthy! Do they wave the limited mooring time during these storms? Good to see you topped off with diesel, and have wood, food, and water. Hope they clear that tree…. Stay warm, cozy and relax a bit. Take care guys!

The tree was cleared pretty quickly which was good. Funny you mentioned stew that's what we have tonight it's been cooking all day as we have been cruising along. Dumplings with it is a must have xx

Hi, that building is one of the remains of RAF Wheaton Aston. It was a bomber training base and then refugee camp after the war. Parts of the runway are still visible too.

These storms are a menace, I live on an Island in the North Sea, and to get to the mainland for shopping we have to get a ferry, The past few weeks it has been cancelled due to the high wind of 90mph, and the sea swells, this is a natural occurence here and we get use to it. We don't have to wait for a storm to come in, always high winds and especially this winter lots of rain, we don't normally get snow though.

We have 4 cats now. When we moved onto Olive we had 5 but had to have Daisy put down as she was 19 and had no quality of life. You are right we have Tabetha, Liquorice, Toby the ginger one and also Fidget, she is long haired black and white.

The tow paths have been like this all winter. Don't know what they would be like if we had lots of rain. We haven't had much this winter. It will be nice to get on our bikes in the summer.
