I’ve been making these for 4 years. Sold hundreds of them. People love them. To avoid the hole in the bottom, pour a bit of resin in the mold, sit the wine glass in and push up from the bottom until the air bubble comes out. Then the bottom will be flat. I use geode coaster molds that take 3 oz of resin. Congrats on this.

Such a clever idea! So many possibilities. They’d be great wedding gifts. Those that have Cricut’s.. you could personalize the glasses with the couples names on the base, add some clear resin with mini holographic hearts glitter. Maybe even some ribbon, I’ve never put ribbon in resin.. I have no idea if it would even work?!😂 Lotsa fun ideas to try out!

Wow!!! Not only are these gorgeous but it’s such a clever idea!! I like your idea of prepping them upside down pour a bit of resin into the underside dip but I would wrap a thick strip of frog tape creating a barrier/wall so it doesn’t overflow & extend out over the sides! The frog tape pulls away nicely just in case it ends up touching the tape! What a beautiful gift these would make!! 🤍

I have to say that I prefer the old way you were filming. I know it is a hassle to go round the table etc but I feel like we miss out a bit from this angle. I don't even do resin and I don't want to miss seeing anything you do lol . Love the glasses. Can't wait to see what else you do.

What a cool idea!! I love them, and the colour combination with the gold glitter is amazing. I can't wait to see more. It would be cool if you could get a silicone mould with tapered sides so that the edge of the base of the glass didn't have straight up and down sides, a bit like a real wine glass base? Julie you make beautiful moulds, I bet you could make one specifically for this!

I really like the idea of using dried flowers. To begin with, you could put one on the bottom with the wine glass upside-down, then put it in the mold after its cured. A great idea Julie. I would suggest doing 2 layers of resin. Set the glasses into a solid colour first. (No bubbles will be visible.) Then, do a top layer in a clear sparkly resin. Nice! Another idea would be to do make a delicate thin length of resin and before it's properly set, you wrap it around the stem of the glass? Just an idea as they might need sticking on with glue or more resin unless you get a tight fit around the stem? I've added gems to the base before and have used glass paint too, the ideas are now endless!

I know I am late but just a suggestion... If you have a cup turner you could have let the glass dry, then place it on a cup turner to make sure the bottom did not have a bubble. Lastly you could use the excess resin to make another two on the empty side to put a top on your glass when you are outside. Like a lid. Just a thought. You gave me a great idea.... Love this.

I love them and I have a really helpful sister that loves to clean up. She has killed so many of my wine glasses, the glass microwave turntable, a glass shelf in my new fridge and more. She is kind and so sad when these things happen that I can’t get upset. When she got married Mum bought her a Melamine dinner set. This could have saved the life of so many wine glasses by balancing them and making the bottom heavier and they still look elegant. ❤️
