Hi Al, thank you so much, yes, I have put a lot into the layout but the hours I spend on it are very pleasantly spent hours. It is a treat to run it. Thank you again, cheers, Rob

Hi Rob, cracking update, I especially enjoyed the shots from the station platform at the beginning. The signals are great and really add something to the layout. I also really liked the tail light on the brake van, it is all those little details I really love. Cheers for now Rob, John

Hi John, I agree. To me signals changing colors as trains run is just plain fun. I think it adds some realism too. The End Of Train lights are also an added layer of fun when watching trains go by. Thank you so much, Rob

Another great video Rob and a happy Easter to you and Michelle. The first shot of the station are was unbelievable, it was so good especially with the real sounds too which made it so real. You have done a great job on all your signals and something I’ve yet to tackle fully, I do have two as you know operated by the same company you used, and they work well. The EOT lamps are excellent too, my, you have been busy and it shows. Farland has really matured over the years and it’s a fabulous layout to watch - keep it up mate! 👏👏👏. Cheers for now. …………. Hi Graham, A very Happy Easter to you and Hazel. Thank you, my relatively new Run Cam is an outstanding tiny Wi-Fi video camera. I was reluctant to buy another since it is the third one now after my Foxeer Legend went kaput, but the picture is so pure on this new Run Cam compared to anything else I have seen or owned. The sound unfortunately is not. Azatrax.com has a new circuit board which can handle 3 aspect signals and can be linked with other ones on a layout of the same type. They can also be used with 2 aspect signals, but it is a waste. I am going to upgrade my 2-aspect signals to 3. He does not have a 4-aspect system as yet, but I am sure they are in the works. Most of his business is US based. Illuminated Models did a great job with their kits for EOT units. I got the tip on these from Peter Dixon. He had done up a few of his DMUs/EMUs. Sadly, it looks to be a fairly strong possibility that I will be deconstructing Farland since M wants to move back to Missouri. I might have to figure out a way to move it. I would hate to see it go to the tip. Cheers for now my friend, Rob

Still following and watching your videos although I don't always comment , good idea putting the battery under the brake van as you have mentioned in your reply to David . Loved the start with real sound . Take care...........Peter

Hi Peter, yes, mounting it under the wagon is a much better solution. I learned the hard way when I just about destroyed a beautiful brake van when I disassembled it to install the battery. After that I have always found a way for the battery to be accessible without taking anything apart. It is quicker too. Not that the batteries run down very fast. Those real sound bits of video really take a huge amount of time to get right so there is usually only one or two at most in one of my videos. Thank you so much and lovely to hear from you, Rob

Good work on the signal system Rob. I really like the flashing red lights on the tail end of the trains but I would have to use batteries being on DC control. David.

Hi David, I have plenty of the battery powered type. The secret of those is mounting the battery on the bottom of the car so when you need to change the battery you don’t have to take the whole thing apart. Some of the brake vans are very fragile. Thank you very much, Rob

Thanks Rob - what cameras do you use on your layout?

I use 4 different means to capture video. Sony FDR AX53 4K Everio iPhone 12 Run Cam 2 Wi-Fi I hope that helps. The platform shots and on train shots are with the Run Cam 2. Thank you very much, Rob
