As someone who isn’t very politically but would consider myself a centrist I don’t appreciate how you talk about politics on your show. Its not that I disagree with you even its just that you seem to promote the idea that there is a right side, that being liberal makes you a morally better person than being conservative. This kind of thinking is genuinely harmful to our country as a whole and just promotes the idea that we can’t just get along as people.

Especially this year trying to act like any one side is better than any other is ridiculous sokce people on both sides are saying awful things and doing awful things and being exposed for this crime or that. It should just be a commonly accepted fact that all politicians are horrible terrible people and that the current system as a whole needs to be abolished and rebuilt

I think the difference here, and especially this year, is that the conservative/republican party is endangering people's rights, which can be seen as a bad thing. Mike is pretty blatant about his views. If they upset you this much, maybe there is a better podcast experience out there for you

@@sammiehopkins9408its not his views being upsetting its just that people keep promoting division and its not right especially when both parties are historically terrible. Saying that one side is always worse than the other is why theres so much political separation in our country thats the end all be all and I dont think theres any reason to argue with that.

I've been listening to Mike for years (since the beginning of "Potterless"). Hardly ever does Mike voice his political opinion. From my experience, Mike just wants people to understand that it's okay to stand up for what you believe in and it's okay for people to be different. I'm glad that Mike supports diversity amongst everyone regardless of your political views. If you've listened to Mike for long enough, you'll notice that he apologizes and/or corrects himself, whenever there's a topic or phrase which he doesn't understand, as he did in this episode. He educates himself, which is something that is very admirable in today's society. Mike is a very tolerant person. He's just the type of person who doesn't believe in exclusion, regardless of viewpoints. I have to say I respect Schubes' work and I think if more people had a viewpoint like his, we would have a better place in which to live.
